I couldn't have possibly expected such a fantastic time at Michelles bed and breakfast.

I had travelled interstate to Brisbane for a new job and booked my room as a temporary place to stay while I looked for somewhere permanent to rent. From the start I had a great experience. The room was comfortable and clean on arrival. There is a good kitchen and a delightful area outside to eat and relax. Michelle and the staff have a genuine warmth and are immediately friendly and accomodating. It is as central as you could ask for, yet a quiet and relaxed part of town.

In the end I found an excellent place to live through the people I met during my stay. I was sad to leave and hope to return soon. Don't hesitate to book a stay here. You wont regret it!

Best accommodation ever! It is one of these places where you can see they truly care about their guests, and they want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. From now on, every other place I stay in will be judged against this one. Heritage house with spacious clean rooms. Perfect location, walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and other amenities. So many little details to love about it. It is clear the care and love they put into everything. The 'chef-inspired' breakfast is to die for! Well worth the price you pay altogether. This is my 'go-to' B&B from now on whenever I'm in Brisbane. 10/10!

Always a very relaxing stay. Professionally run by Geof who goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. Helpful with tourist information & the latest happenings in Brisbane. Located so close to the city & the valley, although still amazingly quiet. The breakfast is always yummy with little changes so it is never boring if you are a regular.

Comfortable and well located accommodation in Brissie. Very good value with a charming and well mannered proprietor. If I was to have an honest whinge, there was no milk in our room for a coffee. That being said it's probably our own fault as we arrived early and he had to rush to get us in . Parking is limited.

We had a wonderful stay at One Thornbury exceptional room with most stylish feature we were not expecting in a B&B. The breakfast was amazing and free Wi-Fi these guys know how to spoil their guests. We loved the quirky features of a heritage property it felt so warm and charming. We will definitely tell our friends and be back again when next in Brisbane..........keep up the great work

Awesome heritage home so well set up for a B & B. Very comfortable and wonderful host. Breakfast is excellent the best ever when staying at a B & B. Nice walking distance to the river where we enjoyed a river boat trip back for dinner from the huge range of restaurants. Thank you.

At the top of the B&B-tree in Brisbane

S27°27'37.8" E153°1'45.6" This B&B is located in a quiet and beautiful residential area (Spring Hill) of Brisbane, on 5 minutes’ walk from the Central Business District or a 10 minutes’ walk from Chinatown. You don not need a car to see Brisbane. The Cityhopper ferry from Eagle Street pier and several busses are free.

We booked the twin heritage room (budget room) with private bathroom 2 months ago. Reservation and confirmation went smoothly, but somewhere deep in the system things went wrong. No problem for our host Geof. He upgraded us to the top floor suite (room 6): 2 separate bedrooms with double beds and private bathroom across the entire attic. For an attic, the view outside is, of course, limited.

The suite had flat screen television, sofa, dining table, air conditioning, fridge, minibar, coffee maker and Wi-Fi reception. The bathroom had a shower. Both double beds slept well, although the large double bed was a bit too soft to our taste.

Geof is an excellent host, with all answers & solutions at hand. Each morning between 7am-9am, an extensive boutique breakfast buffet is ready downstairs with (scrambled) eggs, pancakes, cereals, fruits, coffee, juices, milk, yoghurt and tea. Very good start of the day. In good weather, it is lovely to have breakfast in the garden.

We booked directly by email without costs up to 20% for the service of online travel agencies. We paid AU$130 per night for two persons for three nights in September 2018.

One Thornbury Boutique B&B is in an excellent location and offers an excellent sleeping experience. The host, Geof, is great. Very recommended in Brisbane.

Nice comfy rooms with all your needs. Great service. Nice and quiet despite being in the middle of town. Very enjoyable. Only down side being that the timber floors mean you can hear others walking past your door or in the room above you.
