The staff are always lovely and the food is great! Big portions, delicious condiments, chips cooked properly, and they cooked my steak perfectly. Have been before and had the lamb rack, which is spectacular! Highly recommend.

This review is more of a warning. Came here tonight and the food wasn’t bad, definitely not terrible. But I’ve been here previously (feb 2022) and the food was fantastic, really great. Came back tonight and fantastic it was not.

My friend ordered the “duck spring rolls” and immediately said “oh no” because he is allergic to fish and it tasted like seafood. I asked one of the waiter if they were duck spring rolls and he said no pork. Ok. Definitely tastes like crab or something.

For mains we had steak and the ribs, both were not bad, but the sweet potato fries were just big chunks of sweet potato that weren’t quite cooked through. My pepper sauce was a watery gravy with pepper chunks. Disappointed, feels like different owners or a different cook. Hopefully it gets better.

We arrived, just after the flood waters. Loss Louise and her team made me feel extremely welcome, considering we had no booking, no idea, and no plans. They provided us with multiple options to entertain ourselves. Even after we got stuck in a parking bay that was not as firm as it looked!

Excellent food. You must try the Tomahawk if you are a meat lover and passing through Charleville. Update 2023; Tomahawk is still awesome, if not even better than a coupe years ago.

Very, very disappointing.
We had seen a lot of good reviews BUT;

On our visit, it was a cold night. We asked the waiter to close the wide open double doors. Nothing happened and we ate in our coats.
We wanted to order pizza and it was "out of stock". Interestingly it was out of stock after our order was taken. Why did the waiter not know?

We ordered starters and they did not appear.

Fish and chips were OK.

Lamb ribs were burnt and served with frozen Roast Pumpkin.

Lamb shank pie was tasty but cold/warm, not hot

Steak was cooked to perfection. Fresh salads with sweet dressing was delightful. Spring rolls made it to number two and my all time best list after forty years of ordering and eating. The most pleasant dining surprise as we are not from the area.

We ordered a bacon and cheese cob loaf that come out mixed with tomatoe and sweet chill sauce which wasn't described on the menu. Steak was over cooked, chips were burnt and oil tasted dirty. Ribs were cooked well and fell off the bone but tasteless. We did speak to the owner and to his credit he was polite.
