Not as great as other heritage parks I have recently visited but its still quite a nice place to see especially if you are visiting this side of the region. The blacksmith here is full of interesting stories and happy to share all about iron, steel and the works..

My personal favourite still remains 'Coal Creek Heritage Park' at Korumburra. It's got so much to see and it's free. We do suggest to pay something as a donation that goes a long way to run it.

A friend recommended this place to me last year and we decided to stop here on our way to Lakes Entrance with our overseas visitors - so glad we did! A fantastic display of history, managed by obviously passionate people. Delicious pancakes and nice coffee at the cafe too!

I really enjoyed Old Gippstown although I do agree with a few of the other reviewers that more could be made of it to really bring the history to life. However it’s still very interesting and worth a visit.

Easy to access only a minute just off the freeway exit. Gorgeous little buildings and landscape. Plenty to see and learn.

Staff seemed friendly and positive to interact with.

For me, I wasn’t surprised that it was completely dead with very little other people present , they just wasn’t many demonstrations other than the blacksmith. Which is a shame because it’s such an awesome place. I feel like with a couple of extra staff or activities the place would be booming.

Cafe was good, service was quick and coffee and snacks were reasonably good.

Still worth the visit.
