While this motel is convenient and fairly priced for the room size, now I know why it was so quiet (I was by myself last Sunday 7/7). When there is no one at reception and the office is only manned from 2-6, that would turn a lot of people off. Then there was the ‘on-line check out’ as if it’s a 5 star hotel.

Excellent place to stay. Very economical with well appointed rooms. Renovated with kitchenette (microwave). About 10 minute walk to main street of Merimbula. While office ours are only between 2-6pm there was always someone to contact via phone or email. Locks to the room were a bit tricky as a new door code system had been installed. However easily resolved by phone.

Great place to stay! The room was well equipped with everything you could need, the bed was so so comfortable and the bathroom furnished with high quality body products. Everything was spotless.
The staff was welcoming and helpful and we really enjoyed being able to have a swim in the pool at the end of the day. Town centre is within walking distance.

It's on the hills with view of roof tops and distant water. Enjoyed the outlook. Location is fine, not far to everything, eg Wheelers is less than 10 min drive. We had an upper floor unit facing the view, but others will not get that. The units are probably from the 80s, but no complaints about condition and seemed clean and nicely presented. Kitchen and bathroom well- equipped, lots of good linen, even a corkscrew in the kitchen. Hot water pressure is good. Bathroom a good size. Slept well too, so bed comfortable. If you are comfortable this style, then recommended.

A fantastic place to stay, owned by a lovely couple. The rooms are spacious, confortable and super clean. The view of the ocean is wonderful (even more if you're lucky with the weather)! The staff are very friendly and helpful ; and the pool is the perfect place to be after a sunny day in Merimbula. ? Would 100% recommend it.

This place really needs updating. It is tired and old. Taps need washers, cupboards don’t close properly, rooms are small and poky. Not so close to town and all uphill and no paths on way back. Nothing to recommend it. View of distant ocean ok, but not a nice space to sit and enjoy

excellent location being so close to town center within walking distance. Room is nice/clean and well equipped. Water pressure is amazing. Also, the Sun is in direct line of sight for east-facing rooms, so you can enjoy spectacular sunrise. Staff is polite and helpful. Will stay here if come by town next time for work.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at this motel, which I would strongly advise others to avoid. The motel's name suggested an ocean view, but upon arrival, I found out that this was far from the truth and there was no way to see the ocean from any room in the motel. However, the city is very close, and the rooms are nice and clean. The well-maintained, beautiful swimming pool is good for kids, and the atmosphere is nice.

To make matters worse, We have booked 5 rooms in total as we are travelling from Melbourne to Sydney and the reception lady staff was incredibly rude to me and my family and friends. I couldn't help but wonder if this was because of our ethnicity, as she seemed to treat other guests with more respect.
