Stopped in for lunch on recommendation of a friend, will definitely be back. Food was good portions, well cooked and well priced. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the staff were happy and accommodating. Nice beer garden out back and plenty of history about the place.

We had lunch here. A typical Aussie pub. There’s nothing gourmet or fancy here, just pub food served with a grimace rather than a smile. Coffee is either black or white. Although quite basic, it’s adequate as there’s not much choice in Urunga if you’re looking for brunch or a late brekky.

This seems set up for rooms not restaurant
My meal could have easily been great, but sadly wasn’t.
The duck spring rolls had nothing wrong with ingredients, but were either nit cooked in hot enough oil, or for not long enough. Weren’t crispy.
I asked for a side salad which for $6 seemed very reasonable …. until I got it.
So tiny, one piece of tomato, grated carrot, a bit of lettuce and I was finished it by the second spring roll. Maybe the kitchen doesn’t know they charged more and thought they only had to provide something very small?
The strange thing however, is you had one choice for sauces - sweet or very sweet
Not a single bottle of anything hot and spicy
Guys, its $5 for a bottle of sirachi or even fountain hot chilli
With a bit of an effort this place could be great

Went there for dinner an not one meal was nice. Steak was burnt, chicken party dry and hair in food. Also would hurt for staff to smile an be polite. Spoke to the "manager " about the food to be told short staffed. Wouldn't go back

Lovely old cavernous Aussie pub. Service was friendly and the food was just how pub food should be. If you are looking for a gastro-pub you will be disappointed but if you are looking for the basics done well, it's great ?

We were so impressed we dined here many nights during our stay in Urunga. Absolute best pub meals we have had hands down. Scotch fillet cooked to perfection, nicely cooked vegetables with great texture and colour and the best ‘real mushroom sauce’ made with cream and lots of mushrooms instead of the thick glug usually served in many places. Another standout was their Grilled Chicken Salad - one of the best salads I’ve had by far, so full of flavour and great portion. Friendly staff and patrons, and loved seeing the camaraderie of the kitchen crew who were always cheery and upbeat. Live music on Sunday and warm fires burning to keep you toasty in winter. Highly recommend.

Food was beyond 10/10!
A great menu, with everything sounding delicious (only exception lambs brains) and what we ordered was so tasty. All came very quick too
