Went to Obi nails this avo and the customer service there is amazing they greet you when walk into their store, they make you feel welcome!! Cindy and Lee have to be my favs, have had them do my nails ever since the first time I got my nails done here!! 🥰 they have a laugh with you and they are always open to hear your ideas of what nails you want. Their work will never disappoint you that’s how good I find these to beautiful women!! OBI NAILS IS MY FAV, I recommend coming to OBI NAILS IN PARK RIDGE if you are trying to find a nails salon!!! 😍🥰❤️❤️

Best nail salon in the area. Cindy and team are always so lovely and helpful, the only place I trust to get it right. I have gone elsewhere on some occasions and they aren’t the same standard as Obi. Highly recommend 🩷

The guy who answers the phone cannot be understood and he didn't understand me. Very frustrating talking to him. The lady who did my nails was quite rough and made my cuticle bleed, she cleaned the blood and put something that made it sting. The customer next to me told me to apply tea tree oil otherwise it will get infected. When I went to pay I was advised the EFTPOS machine wasn't working and was advised to go to Coles and get some cash. I was compelled to purchase something to get the cash. The lady also told me that my skin was dry. She was quite rude the way she said it

Had my nails done here a few times only because it's local and the closest. Very basic acrylics, they have plenty of colours but hardly any nail art, so if you're looking for something special, better to go elsewhere.

Latest employees are very rude and it's extremely difficult trying to communicate with them. I don't think they're professional nail technicians at all with adequate training.

Came in on a quiet Thursday afternoon and saw some new lady with glasses who completely didn't understand English and ruined my nails. As soon as you go in, you're told "pick colour".

There's about 4 or 5 baskets full of colour wheels, and everything is mixed up. Instead of having them arranged neatly and easy to find what you're looking for - eg. dark colours, reds, pinks, nudes, glitters, light colours, on one colour wheel together - everything is all mixed up and so messy. You have to sit there looking through these piles of random messy colour wheels stuck together and hurry up "pick colour" while they wait and death stare at you.

Don't bother asking for ombre either. I asked if they do ombre and was told yes on the phone. They have many coloured dips, but don't know how to use them. Came in for ombre one occasion only to be simply told "it's too difficult to mix two colours together". I've had ombre done at the cheapest salons.

No nail art except some very outdated Asian style designs I used to get 15 years ago. Most nail technicians can draw a simple star or cross. Not this salon. $55 cash for anything slightly "extra". Waste of money. I saw some new star stickers they had displayed on black polish so I asked for these. Sat down ready to get them done only to be told again "no can't do this. Can only do on white nail". Sent back third time to "pick colour". By now I was furious and just wanted to walk out of this salon. Couldn't find any of my usual colours in that mess of colour wheels, and said look "I'd just like this simple design shown on Google". Of course no can do.

Gave up, decided on black and silver cat eye nails.
I've gotten "cat eye" nails there previously once with no problems. This time the woman only put one coat of black nail polish on. I always get two. She seemed very annoyed at this. Then I asked to please see the silver cat eye designs colour wheel. She pointed to the box of messy nail colour wheels and made me go look for it. I finally found them and showed her the design I wanted. She painted the black on, then said "I don't know how to do this nail art so the other woman will do it". I waited for ages and some other woman applied the silver on top in a real hurry and didn't even ask me if I liked it this way as normal. She seemed very annoyed and was rushing me and the customer next to me who also looked confused and upset. The salon suddenly started getting very busy and I was just left there for over 30 mins completely ignored while everyone else was chatting about rubbish and laughing. Very unprofessional and unpleasant atmosphere. Gave me terrible anxiety.

I don't know if they just got new staff members or what, but I saw 3 who I've never seen before and the only one regular one who was busy. Very unhappy with these nails. It's nothing like the design I showed them, just looks like silver nails with black circles in the middle. I tried to show her photos on my phone too but she just ignored me. Don't bother looking up a specific set of nails on Google because you'll only be told "we can't do this" here. Never returning here again when there are much better salons 5 mins away. Place is messy, dust everywhere and it's only walk-ins and cash only for a reason.
