Nice hotel. We stayed for 1 night over the weekend. Very forthcoming staff. We could check in earlier and ordered sparkling wine for our anniversary upon arrival.
We did enjoy the pool and gym. Would be nice if there were towels for pool seperately, we used the ones in our room but later discovered there were towels in the gym, so you probably can take from there.
Rowing machine doesn't work in the gym, but overall it was pretty private and clean.
Room was quite spacious. Loved the balcony. TV audio system/stereo is weirdly quiet. Had to turn up the volume quite high to hear anything.
Shower area seemed a bit worn off and could've used more cleaning but overall we were pleased with our stay and of course the location is perfect. You can go anywhere with a walking distance.
You can also park outside for free or for extra 15$ you can park in the garage.

Everything was great. Very good value for money. Spacious suite with large desk, double sofa, balcony, king sized bed, kitchenette and ensuite. Beautiful modern decor with lovely artwork: black and white photographs of the old buildings around Toowoomba. Staff were excellent. Car parking and cafe available onsite as well as room service.

I stay at Oaks apartment regularly when I travel so I booked to Oaks apartments in Toowoomba on my business trip. The receptionist was lovely and tried her best to help. We have booked 3 rooms that night. My colleague stayed there previously and loved it. It was clean and walking distance to everywhere.
Well the state of the bathroom was disgusting in all 3 rooms. One shower still had wrappings of soap in there it has not been touched since the previous guest. My shower had mould all over the shower and green ring of mould in bassinet. Very bad!!! We asked the staff to clean it up before we come back from dinner. She said, well the cleaner will be here in the morning We asked to speak to the manager, he wasn’t available until morning. Someone went in the room to wipe over the bathroom and remove the rubbish from the previous guest…In the morning we spoke to the manager and he was acting very surprised and said he is very sorry and he will get back to us. We never heard from him again. We would never stay there again. They really dropped the level of standard for Oaks franchise!!

Oaks has a good location you can park the car and walk to the Main Street for all your shopping/food needs. Stayed here over a weekend, whilst the room was very large and nice the carpet was so stained it made the room look disgusting. Room service dinner menu lacks as its very basic as well

Was checked in by a very nice front of house staff, the young lady was very professional and arranged my room and access.
Rooms are nice with modern decor. Bathrooms initially look nice, but once you start looking around, it would do with a good clean/scrub.
There is a QR code in the room with the writing on top saying room service. So I scan and check the menu out, but only to have to call the restaurant to order (what the purpose of the QR). So I call only to go through to an answering machine (wtf). I call reception and speak with the gentleman who advised I need to use the in room phone to order. Ok, my mistake. I use the inroom phone and push the preset button to the restaurant only to call reception. I spoke with reception again and advised that I followed his instructions to only get the reception again (gave some advice on getting maintenance to check out the preset button). Reception offered to take my order and get it down to the restaurant, which I was very grateful for, and thanked him for doing so. Reception mentioned that being a Tuesday, the order shouldn't take too long as the restaurant wouldn't be that busy.
So an hour passes, and I call reception back to advise that the food still hasn't arrived ?.
Reception had forgotten to do what he offered to do. So room service and afternoon/night time reception is terrible ?.
Don't know what time I will get any food.
Would stay here again.
I am happy if management wants to ask me any questions. I am happy to answer.

Unfortunately we also had breakfast at the Quarter Acre. Meals have been better and when ordering one meal was incorrect due to inattenion by the staff member. Dirty plates left in front of us until I asked for them to be removed and they still left the coffee cups behind. When my husband and friend ordered more coffees they never came but were sat on an exterior servery in takeaway cups which we did not know about until we asked for them. Obviously not freshly made. Staff happy to chat to themselves but empty dishes should never be left in front of customers. ||

we utilise the hotel facility prior to moving into our new home in Toowoomba. The hotel was great but found the cost high for the number of nights that we stayed, which was a bit of a surprise with limited room service (no clean sheets of fresh towels in the room). ||I will still prefer staying at an Oaks.

This is the second time checking into this hotel in a week for work. The first time the check in staff asked me twice to tick the box that said if you need special assistance in case of an evacuation due to not been able to hear an alarm tick this box.

I was referring to the dot point directly below that which mentions of the QR code doesn’t work (phone issues) you can request a copy of the t&c at the front desk.

I asked for a copy but all that could be done is a staff member cherry picking things he reads off his phone.

Check into 316 and looking for the second bedroom I open a door. Turns out to be the interconnecting door to the room on the left. And I walk in on a lady in bed watching tv. I close the door and try opening it again to see if it’s locked but it opens 3 more times. Each time I close the door with more pressure until it doesn’t open with a standard amount of force.

I report this to the front desk. Nothing is done. Housekeeping didn’t lock it. They say

Checking in tonight and I reframe from asking about the t&c at check in and all is fine until 8pm I go to log onto the wifi as an in house guest. My name is invalid. I try calling reception from the room. But it rings then goes dead. I call 4 more times. And I try once at housekeeping no answer any where.

I reluctantly go down stairs. And ask why I can’t get into the wifi.

I get told it needed to be reset and it’s working now. You can use the visitor wifi and you don’t get charged for downloads.

That peaked my interest how much and at what stage. I log in and the page that pops up says wifi charges may apply. But no info on when or how much.

I call reception and they answer. I get told about the premium package for wifi and no joke I need to ask the lady SIX times how much that costs. She keeps skirting the question which frustrated me. Then she tells me she needs to check.

She comes back again, said no charges for wifi. I said you just told me at the start of this call there are 2 wifi packages for purchase.

She then said there are no packages. And I point out her coworker the guy mentioned not 5 min ago at the front desk there are charges on the in house guest wifi.

She asks to put me on hold and I tell here I’ll reluctantly come back down ( to show here on the wifi log in page it says charges)

I mentioned that if there are no charges can I get that in writing as I have been told several different variations. And she can’t do that.

I do get it in writing from the guy at the front desk hand written on the back of another customers room charges statement.

I asked about the T+C printed out as the info about the wifi was not leaving me confidence about what is going on here.

I was told there is a system issue and can’t print it out. (This was MORE than 1hr after I was getting the wifi connected).

I was told by the guy that he has “never been asked for the T+C before in writing” yet it was 4 days ago I asked the exact same employee for them, in writing.

I have a VERY hard time trusting anything the employees say here is correct. They lie often and at will.

I did mention towards the end of the conversation if they can’t give me the T&C I need to stay at another hotel/motel that can give me the t&c. They said our systems may be having issues getting you that but if you leave it’s your cost to change hotels.

I was given the managers card (who he was just on the phone to). I asked should I ring tonight or tomorrow morning. I was told to ring tonight.

I called when I got back to the room. 2 calls ignored (no voice mail option)and I sent one text.

it’s been issue after issue with no apology for any of it.

The miss information about the wifi. No apology. The not been able to connect as an in house guest.” It’s a system issue I’ll reset it. It’s working now “ the not been able to print the t&c as it says in the sign in document I agree to “system issue what do you want me to do about it” he told me before giving the managers card.

This place is a joke. If you are reading this please reconsider your travel needs.
