Prices are too high. |$658.00 for one night is robbery and higher than it should be for what was on offer. And it’s Redcliffe. ||I stayed in Melbourne at Southbank in an apartment with connecting door to a studio room for 5 days and paid $1,920 so $384 a night. The place was clean and fresh and I found no fault whatsoever and had a wonderful stay. ||The rooms on the surface are neat and tidy however look closer and you’ll see the faults. The furniture is dirty, stained and disgusting. The lounge was so discussing I didn’t want to sit on it. The towels had seen better days. The walls need repainting, carpets need replacement due to stains, worn areas. Rocks in the shower floor should not be a thing in a hotel, it’s uncomfortable to stand on. The curtains were broken and didn’t slide correctly and the lamps have seen better days ||Generally it’s a good big apartment it just needs a major renovation to improve its quality. ||The “rules” |The hotel has some rules for all guests and is enough to turn anyone off returning. ||It appears the place has had issues in the past that require such strict oversight to monitor alcohol consumption and require guests friends and non registered guests to leave at 10pm.||I’ve never encountered this sort of requirement in any hotel I’ve stayed in over the 25 yrs both here and overseas. ||Every guest shouldn’t be placed into the same category as the problematic guests of the past.||Perhaps being a hotel isn’t the best option for the ownership of the building if that’s the sort of situation you’re placing on guests who have just handed over a significant amount of money for a run down property. ||Not the best impression for a stay and unlikely to return based on such embarrassing rules to be placed on an adult. ||Desk staff were somewhat pleasant for the brief interactive period.||My stay was last minute and just over night and figured as I’d stayed at Oaks previously elsewhere and the name brand it would be a good choice. |On this occasion it was a bit of a let down.

This venue is ideal while staying with older family members. Handicapped parking is close to the lifts. The one bedroom apartment including the bathroom was fresh and spacious enough to manoeuvre a walker. The balcony view is a great place for family members to watch the ocean tide rise and fall.

All staff members we spoke to couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was lovely - lots of space but the ones overlooking the water would have had a more impressive view. The hotel was close to shops and the restaurant was really great.

Positives ||Room looked nice and new, new furnishings, very fresh feel, great location, lovely view||||Negatives||- Shower head didn't work properly. ||- Toilet seat was not attached properly and would move around. ||- Toilet paper in a very hard to reach spot. ||- No kitchen cloths provided to wipe benches down.||- Glass door panels creaked at night with the wind making it hard to sleep. ||- If we left the balcony doors open to let fresh air in the front door would make a horrible whistling noise because the fire door opposite our room did not seal properly and our door seal was missing chunks out of it so it would create a whistling draft

Only went for Trivia night. Which is always good fun and free. I didn't eat but others did and the food was good. Drinks are pricey but they are on par with everywhere else and as I said the trivia is free, so it's a cheap night. Definite thumbs up.👍

Beautiful rooms but take a spare table with you if you expect any room for your toiletries in the bathrooms. Literally a 2" ledge along the mirror that just fits a toothbrush and nothing else. 🙄

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and it was beautiful. Tasteful, lovely balcony furniture. Stunning view. All staff were friendly and attentive.
