Very easy and friendly check-in. Easy and secure onsite parking. Spacious 1 bedroom apartment with handy kitchenette with coffee pod machine. Great shower. Large king size bed was even better than home. Foxtel on tv and usb ports for charging next to bed. Would definitely recommend

I must have caught everyone on an off day.
The front desk staff were smiley, welcome and accomodating.
I was delighted on the appearance of our room with a park view. The layout and view was beautiful.
I did struggle sleeping on the super soft bed, and slept on the sofa.(bed comfy-ness is a personal taste I know). However was quite upset to see moderate size blood stain on mattress protector accompanying a yellow stain.
And unsure about skills of housekeeping further with food marks still on coffee table.
I really wanted to.like this place, just left me with a bit of an 'ick.

What a lovely place to stay. We were in an apartment on the 9th floor with a balcony. The room was lovely, modern and clean. We didn't have a lot of time there, but wished we could have had more.||Very comfortable indeed!

I rarely leave reviews, but my recent experience at this hotel was so upsetting I felt compelled to share. My husband had organised a late check-out for us, choosing the 2pm option offered by the hotel. He left earlier that morning, and I remained in the room as I’m currently pregnant and suffering from severe morning sickness.

At 12:00pm, someone from reception knocked on the door and informed me I was supposed to check out at 10am. I explained we had arranged a 2pm late check-out but said I’d be out in ten minutes just to avoid hassle. I started to feel sick again and wasn’t able to leave right away.

At 12:25pm, a staff member with a fringe aggressively started banging on the door. The moment I opened it, she raised her voice and accused me of ignoring multiple requests to leave. Her tone was hostile, rude, and completely unnecessary. When I told her to calm down and not speak to me like that, she continued berating me and even threatened to pass my details on to Victoria Police.

I was shocked. I had done nothing wrong, and if for some reason our late check-out hadn’t been processed properly, she could have simply explained that calmly and offered to charge the room for the additional hours. Instead, I was verbally attacked, denied the chance to speak, and treated like a criminal for what was likely a miscommunication on their end.

This hotel clearly lacks basic professionalism, empathy, and customer service training.

Love it. Stayed before and will stay again.
Rooms are spacious. Good location. Secure underground carpark.
Have stayed a few times, this time in the studio apartment which included balcony, laundry facilities and kitchenette and faced towards the westfield. Hotel room is also nice and faces the park.
Will happily stay again.
Lovely large fridge, nice seating and lounge area for relaxing and very quiet in the room, both day and night, which I highly valued. Great big shower and just all round comfortable space for a minibreak.
Only fault was housekeeping, who weren't very thorough with topping up amenities like laundry powder, coffee pods, milk, soap but would come and top up when asked and were polite. Coffee machine didn't work very well, pods would get stuck and had to be thrown out. While they provided crockery I found a little slim such as only 1 small bowl, nothing for the oven and no lid. The teflon on the non stick pan and pot were badly damaged.
Might be good to have a booklet with info like where the pots are stored or where to find the power switch for the washer and dryer.
Paid approx $200 pn.

Stayed here for four nights in a one bedroom ocean view apartment. Excellent location near Westfield shopping centre. Spacious, clean and comfortable unit. Great views of Corio Bay. Convenient cafe for daily coffee. Reception staff always friendly and helpful. Secure car parking onsite. Really enjoyed our relaxing stay.

This is our go to hotel in Geelong. The rooms are spacious and clean with good views no matter what room you're in. Check-in has always been quick and friendly. If you're driving, be sure to book direct to take advantage of the free parking offer. The hotel is just a short stroll from the beach and waterfront activities, it's also a short walk to little malop St.

My only gripe is the showers could be a little cleaner and the toilet paper is no better than you'd find at a public toilet. Very small gripe that will have no bearing on us staying here in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the R Hotel, the service and location were exactly what we needed for attending the Festival of Sails. There had been a mix up with our booking which the Hotel staff and Management were very helpful in not only sorting out, but also offered and promptly paid a full refund. I would highly recommend the R Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Geelong.
