I stay there on overnight business trips. The staff are very helpful and courteous. The rooms are always clean with the appropriate condiments. Great breakfast and decent coffee served in the in-house restaurant. I’ll book in again next month.

The two-bedroom unit we stayed in was close to shops and the lagoon, and was very comfortable for our family of 4. It was clean and tidy with very comfortable beds and they were very accommodating in letting us park our second car on site. There were a couple of things broken in the unit but we reported these so hopefully they were fixed for the next people who stayed there. Overall I’m happy to recommend the Oaks Rivermarque Apartments for a comfortable, well-located family stay.

Tiny rooms like a back packers, no balcony, no ice, or water. Had to fill up a jug of water from the bathroom... tiny TV that you need to sit two feet away from it to see anything. Never staying at this place ever again. Almost booked another hotel just to get out of here but it was 10pm..
Didn't think there was a fridge at all because blankets and a random sooner where stuffed in the cobard.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment for 4 nights while making a surprise visit to family in Mackay. The apartment had great views, balcony, kitchen, laundry facilities and large tv with many Foxtel Channels .The king size bed was very comfortable and the air - conditioner worked well. The receptionist Dee went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable.

Rooms we stayed in were nice and luxurious, nice big beds and beautiful bathrooms. Hotel staff was friendly and the adjacent cafe where we went for breakfast had great food.

However, perhaps a weird complaint to make... but I've never been more disappointed with toilet paper before. Got a luxurious room for a luxurious price with all the bells and whistles, to find out bathroom's were stocked with half-ply toilet paper. It was see-through. See-through toilet paper in one of their more expensive rooms. Disappointing.

Pool was nice, but the wall with fountains looked like it needed some updating and refreshing & water was NOT heated. Shame, as the outdoor temperature was lovely, but the water being too cold to enjoy.

Breakfast was lovely in the nice cafe belonging to the hotel. Had booked with breakfast included, but non the less they tried to make us pay for the breakfast, until we spoke up and questioned it. No big deal, but if we'd missed it, we'd have paid double.

Room didn’t get cleaned properly before I arrived.
Sheets have black stains all over them
AC filter hasn’t been cleaned in roughly 6 months
Towels have black stains on them
Asked to be moved and they couldn’t move me to a different room or get me new sheets or towels. Even found a crack pipe hidden away. Only good thing about this place is its location.

Bathroom was disgusting with mould and dirt, reported to management and they said it’s just water stains all the rooms are like that and that I don’t understand what I’m talking about. There was mould in the shower everywhere, The bathroom needs cleaning properly not the half job it’s been getting.
You can see the build up of dust on the toilet roll holder in the photo this is not clean, very disappointing for a GHA property.
Couch has holes in it and veranda has cigarette butts everywhere.
Was never told breakfast finished at 9am so we missed breakfast as well.

Definitely would recommend not staying there.

Stayed for 3 nights during our QLD road trip. Rooms are small but have everything you need for a short stay including self catering facilities.|We had the included breakfast each morning in the restaurant which was very good.|WiFi in the room was a little patchy.|We had heavy rain throughout our stay so probably did not see Mackay at its best.|The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
