The apartment was spacious and offered plenty of room to relax, which was a definite plus. The view was quite nice and added to the experience. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, which affected the quality of sleep. Cleanliness was just average—nothing too bad, but it could have been better. Overall, it was an okay stay, but there’s room for improvement, especially with the bed and cleaning standards.

Good View, Spacious Room, but Disappointing Pool Hours

The hotel has a great view, and the room was spacious and very clean. The young man who checked us in was friendly and helpful, but overall, the staff seemed a bit unfriendly.

The biggest downside, however, was the swimming pool. It closes right after sunset, which is quite ridiculous. During the day, most people visit the beach, and evenings are when you’d want to relax by the pool. Other hotels nearby, like Crowne Plaza and even other cheaper hotels (as seen in the photos I’ve attached), have much more convenient pool hours. It's frustrating that this hotel doesn’t offer the same.

I hope management reconsiders the pool hours to better meet guests’ expectations.

Rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff is really nice and friendly. You'll always see smiling faces whenever you cross the lobby. The location is very central and close to almost everything. The beach is also just 5 min walk and they also have a short pathway from the back of ths hotel to the beach which is lovely. Quiet lobby, fast elevators, beautiful ocean view from almost all the rooms on mid or high level floors. Absolutely amazing place to stay.

Warning: don’t stay here! We had a really bad experience with the service. One staff member was super unhelpful, especially towards us as Asian guests. We didn’t get basic things like more conditioner or help with ordering food, even though it was listed as an option. Plus, they wouldn’t help us with cash at the front desk. This one person ruined our whole experience. Look for a better hotel!

We recently booked at another hotel through booking.com however they overbooked the original hotel so to compensate us, we were booked into Oaks Gold Coast.
It was so nostalgic!!!
Alot of the original fixtures are around however everything has been very well maintained and cleaned.
The reception staff were incredibly friendly, professional and helpful.
The room was very large for a hotel room and very clean. Bodywash, Shampoo and Conditioner pumps are provided instead of the teeny weenie bottles you normally get at hotels.
The spa bath was divine and one of the highlights of our stay.
The king bed and pillows were also very comfortable.
We had a hotel room with an ocean view and a balcony. The hotel was pleasantly quiet and you couldn't hear any road noise whatsoever.
Within walking distance to the hub of surfers paradise but far enough to be away from all the noise.
Hubby and I are already planning another stay here.
