On arrival I was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable young lady. My room was ready on time . The room was outstanding and spotless. The bed was super comfortable. When I was leaving my room I was always greeted with a smile and hello from the cleaning staff. I will most certainly book my next Coolangatta holiday at the Oaks Calypso, and would highly recommend to my friends. The location was perfect two minutes walk to the beach and shops and restaurants also 2 minutes

The view for ocean front room was amazing. However room was very average, bathroom was old and kitchen was fine for toaster but not for cooking unless you brought your own things. Sauna room and gym very average. Pool area great for kids. Bonus is parking underneath if need.

The Oaks Calypso Plaza Suites located in Coolangatta on the Gold Coast provides accommodation that’s comfortable and relaxing. Rooms are clean furniture decor nicely presented. Oak’s Calypso is located walking distance to great restaurants, various shops and the beautiful Coolangatta beach makes it a perfect choice to stay. Beautifully maintained tropical landscaped gardens surround the swimming pool area with plenty of sunbeds available to rest on and umbrellas to provide shade.

Absolutely loved our visit here. Reception staff absolutely superb, checked us in super effectively and we weren't sure where to go and have dinner, Amy gave us several options, so friendly and helpful with all of the amenities and the local spots. Room was spacious well laid out and clean. Highly recommend, will be back for sure

Great place, clean well presented. Good service and friendly staff. I will be back.

There was a down side. In my room at least. The shower was a problem. I am used to the shower head being to short for me I am 6'7" but the glass panels they have put in to replace the shower curtain, ment I had to maneuver around the toilet to get in and out of the shower. It made it a bit more dangerous than I would like with wet feet. I will see in other rooms are like it on my next visit.

These guys helped us out during the IT outage chaos in late July 2024. We were stuck at Gold Coast airport (6 hours plus) and having rung 35 hotels we were getting nowhere.

We got a last minute room, only because the staff member on duty tried really hard to help us out (at 10.00pm on a Friday night). The room was tiny but also welcome, because without a room we would have been on the airport floor, and it was the only room left. We then stayed in a really cool 2 bed, 2 story apartment for two subsequent nights (which had 2 balconies).

The receptionist went out of her way to help - this was so very much appreciated, and shows the quality of the team when under pressure.

The pool area is really good, the rooms and common areas are decent but slightly dated. Location is excellent.

Comfortable bed and clean. Bathroom a bit dated. Lovely pool, spa and gardens. Cannot fault the place. Excellent location close to many restaurants, the beach and main roads. Cafe within the hotel. Will return, hopefully soon.

I was extremely shocked at after insisting that my main concern was a comfy bed that the bed was made up of different mattress to the base and between the base and mattress it had packing to try to disguise the shocking uncomfortable bed.
When I booked I was told it was a king bed. When I saw that it wasn’t a king bed questioned what I had been told and they told me they don’t have king beds.
The apartment is needs a good scruband clean.
Cups were dirty in the cupboard.
The noise from the lift was like a doorbell going off all the time it was so loud and we were down the hall from it.This company is just after your money and don’t want to put anything back into the property’s
I will never book any Oaks apartments again.
