The pictures on the website were better than reality and the vilolas were not as good as we hoped being on a bushy hillside. All the staff, and food at the bistro were excellent. Breakfast was really good and well organised with fresh choices and staff topping up the options. The bistro dinner was excellent and I would eat there again. There is a lovely view from the main building where the re ception, bistro and resturant are. The place could use better maintenance of the villas and the grounds.

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at the Oaks Cypress and were really happy and satisfied with our stay. Resort facilities are excellent. However, it's a shame the lagoon pool (which is their second pool) is not an "operating area", the pool was great, but they could have the bar operating in there which would be great and a bit further away from all the kids in the main pool!
Breakfast buffet is simple but great. Restaurants don't have a huge menu, but the food quality is excellent.
Perfect location in the heart of hunter valley with so many vineyards around to see.
The nature around was breath taking, loved waking up with the kangaroos and being in contact with nature.
Super friendly and very easy-going staff.

We recently organized a work conference at the Oaks Resort, Cypress Lakes in the Hunter Valley, and it was an outstanding experience. From start to finish, everything went perfectly. The staff were incredibly accommodating, and the food was fantastic throughout the event.

The conference rooms were beautifully presented, laid out efficiently, and equipped with top-notch AV facilities that made our presentations run smoothly.

Our team stayed in the Villas, which were well-appointed, clean, and very comfortable—everyone loved them.

The next day, we held a golf day facilitated by the resort's pro shop, and they were exceptional in ensuring everything was ready for us. The golf course itself was stunning and enjoyable for players of all levels. Even beginners had a great time, and while you might lose a few balls if you’re new to the game, it’s all part of the fun.

I have been invited to a charity conference coming up in December, and I’m certain it will be another amazing experience. Highly recommend the Oaks Resort for any event or getaway!

Disappointing Stay with Unacceptable Service
We recently stayed at Oaks Cypress Resort for two nights and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
The most significant issue occurred on one of the nights when there was a complete power outage in our villa. Despite this, no staff member came to check on us or offer any assistance. To make matters worse, there was not even a torch provided in the villa, leaving us in complete darkness.
This incident severely impacted our stay and left us feeling neglected and unsafe. The lack of response from the staff was unacceptable and demonstrated a serious lack of concern for guest well-being.
Based on this experience, we cannot recommend Oaks Cypress Resort to other travelers. We believe that basic amenities like emergency lighting and prompt staff response should be considered essential, especially during power outages.

Had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary in one of the villas. Super spacious with everything you could need. Thank you to the amazing team at Oaks Cyprus Lakes for making our stay so enjoyable the service was great from start to finish. Super convenient location with a great gold course nearby and surrounded by some of the beat wineries in the region. Would be back with family next time!

The Location is amazing yes, but unfortunately to get to your Villa isn't an easy task to achieve, due to lack of reception properly explaining how to get to your rooms and lack of lighting at night made it really hard to find, it took us a while to locate and only way i could locate was me walking around in the pitch dark with my phone light trying not to fall over and watch out for spiders and stuff. The lady at the desk wasn't really interested in us or explaining how to get to Villa properly. Breakfast was good and the bistro was okay and only okay. I would recommended better signage on how to get to Villas and maybe few more lights and staff training.

Check in was 20mins late waiting for room to be cleaned, reception helpful and friendly. Upgraded room when I booked, however room amenities poor. Jacuzzi did not work at all, the TV kept losing reception and flashing up a blue screen and making loud popping noises. No WiFi. Food was okay but bruscetta plated on paper as soon as paper wet it just discintergrated into food putting me off eating it. Reception did mention rooms are going through an upgrade however I would have appreciated that info at time of booking as I would not have chosen to stay as I was particularly after a room with a jacuzzi

We booked 2 of 3BR units and spend 3 nights with 14 of family members.
It is a nice relaxing place. Good Bristow and a bar is there provided plenty of options with beautiful views.
WI- FI was not working in both units but we were provided with dongles.
We had buffet breakfast for two days and it was very good one with so many choices.
SriLankan chicken curry with rice for dinner was the one everybody loved.
Staff is helpful.
We made our booking long ahead, under one name and requested the units to be next to each other, Unfortunately it was not fulfilled. That was the negative for us .
