The apartment was well-equipped, clean and spacious. Well-staffed and friendly. The bed was too soft as are many now in hotels. It hurt my back so I bought a yoga mat and slept on the floor. Oddly they would not allow me to look at a 2-bedroom suite for future accommodation with my family. Whereas the Sebel across the street had no problem with that request.

I recently stayed at the Oaks Brisbane on Charlotte Suites and had a very enjoyable stay there. The location is excellent, the room I stayed in was everything I wanted it to be plus more and most importantly the staff were brilliant. Always helpful and always smiling. Excellent service. And to top it off I thought it was great value for money. If ever I visit Brisbane again I will definitely be staying here again.

You could not find a more central location in Brisbane. And soon there will be a metro station 1 minutes away and green pedestrian area right in front of the doorstep connecting the Botanic Gardens with Queens Street mall. The apartment was spacious, clean, had a great floorplan and amazing views. One thing this hotel has that I have never seen before is TWO pools. One for families to splash around in and a 30 m lap pool, which I had all to myself every morning. I was there for business, but really the hotel is good for any travel party. Great place to stay for a night, a week or a month. Looking forward to my next stay.

Great place to stay check in was a little crazy but once we got to the room it was very relaxing the views were stunning even got to see the sunset and the view of the city at night was epic. The plunge pool was nice place to cool down from the heat. The hotel was nice and central easy to the gardens or to the queen street mall. The service desk were very helpful and polite.

While the staff at recipient where great.
The room we where given was less than desirable we had to ask for another room due to the paint peeling from the roof with clear water damage, the smell of mildew, carpets that are clearly very old and bathroom staining, to give the hotel a chance we asked for another room, the staff where amazing and accommodating however we where very disappointed as the 2nd room smelled of mildew aswell and air-conditioning sound was terribly loud, carpets much the same as the first.
We thank the reception staff for their help in getting a refund for our stay but would not recommend staying here.

Great location, good staff. Unfortunately, our room reeked of cigarette smoke. As a result, we have a ruined a week’s worth of clothes, and can’t get the smell out. There was also black mold throughout the bathroom, and dirty socks from the previous guests in the bedroom. The elevators are unbelievably slow (5mins or more wait). We will not be staying here again.
Update: Oaks Management agreed to refund us 50% of the cost of our stay. We are pleased with this outcome. Staff have been helpful and reasonable.

I booked before I read the recent reviews and wondered if I had made a mistake in booking this place for a two night stay. Everything was better than expected, the location is good , the small one bedroom apartment was clean, the bed(s) was comfortable. Its worth bringing one's own teabags to supplement the 2 that are provided. Make sure to bring a USB charging device as unlike many other places none of the wall electrical outlets have built in USB charging ports. The elevators can be a bit slow depending on time of day. I did not visit the pool(s) but noted that there is a lap pool as well as a small leisure type pool for guests. I found the parking to be very expensive at $45 per night, but maybe I am just out of touch.
