We have just returned from Oakhampton and we had so much fun. Our girls who are nearly 9 years old had a ball. Horse riding, swimming in the pool, they helped feed the animals and collect the eggs and generally exploring. We had a wonderful picnic by the dam which is a peaceful bird sanctuary and full of turtles. The highlights were outdoor life, it was a real farm experience for our city girls. The accommodation was comfortable, we stayed in the flat at the back of the original homestead. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. We got to know all of the horses by name as well as all of the other farm animals, including alpaca, deer, goats, sheep, calf and an amusing pet cockatoo who talks to everyone.

It is a really nice farm with so many animals; Pig, deers, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, cockatoos, llamas, kangaroos, fox and most of them are eager to be friends with you. This is the best feature of the farm. The land is very beautiful and the sky is awesome at night. ||||The owner James is an extremely nice gentleman. He is able to help you arrange many activities during your stay; fishing, kayaking, horse riding, playtypus watching, BBQ. ||||Would definitely want to return for a holiday again.

We stayed here with a group of about 30, mix of adults, kids, teens. |The land is beautiful.|The amenities not so much. I guess it depends if you are used to the luxurious weekend away or the tent and bucket kind. |Only one of the two female toilets flushed properly, the doors didnt close properly either. Cob webs and bugs throughout. |Freezing cold of course but location and time of year it was expected. |The bedrooms are single bunk beds, you cant move them together. My husband and i brought electric blankets and thank god we did, also our own blankets etc. The linen is very basic and i would have frozen if i hadnt. |The locks on the doors are on the outside so you cannot lock the door while you sleep. But someone can lock you in there - freaked me out thinking about that. I probably shouldn't watch outback scary movies. |Overall it is a great experience but you best not be too princess if you are booking to stay here. |

We had a lovely stay here, James the owner could not have been more accommodating . The children just loved him. We walked with the working dogs who were very friendly. The horses run free, and followed us to our cottage on the hill. Not to mention the dinosaur graveyard|| ||||The cottage was comfortable but if you are expecting 5 star go to the gold coast and pay a fortune !!! This is farm stay & gave the children a new outlook on living in the country and mucking among it without all the luxury of home with T V and the internet.

20 family and friends getting together to celebrate a 60th birthday all 20 travelling from Qld and Victoria (1000km's) meeting halfway thinking they had chosen the perfect holiday destination to keep 3 generations happy for 10 days. On arrival 13th January 2016 at approx 4pm what we found was the nightmare holiday destination...pool was GREEN...tennis courts unusable....rat poo on the bbqs we were suppose to eat off...rat poo on the dining tables...in the blankets on the pillows...mouldy refrigerator not even turned on...external doors that cannot be locked...bathroom and showering areas fit to wash your animals with little privacy....there are NO SIMILARITIES between the website and the actual place this business operator MUST be investigated...we didn't stay 1 night all 20 of us left very disappointed and upset that somebody is allowed to be so dishonest with what they advertise to what they deliver....we then had to find accommodation elsewhere at a time Tamworth music festival was on so most businesses where fully booked....thanks for nothing James!!!!!!||

The farm is a working cattle farm, set in a picturesque valley near Manilla, New South Wales, and close to Split Rock dam.||Rustic cabin accommodation (self contained) and en suite rooms in the homestead itself.||Homestead backs onto woodland, which offers excellent walks.||James is an excellent host.||This is not a traditional "hotel" style, so check on what style of accommodation you require.

Stay clear, this place is a rundown old homestead, the cabins are old shearing sheds, absolute disgusting, didn't feel safe, felt dirty an left after the first night in our 7 day booking.||Didn't eat in the kitchen because it was filthy an didn't use the showers coz i felt dirty after just looking at them!
