This park is in an awesome location, walking tracks at your doorstep, restaurants/cafes close, beach not too far. Pool area looked great but pool was a little chilly for us.
They have vans come in selling pizza, hot potatoes and fresh prawns.
But it’s a huge park and you have to be lucky to get a good site. Our site was tricky to get into but once settled we were happy. Port Macquarie is very pretty and definitely worth visiting.

Such small sites. Very disappointing. We were on site 131 right on the corner and other vans arrived and boxed us in. Couldn’t even see people as our car was right in front of us. Our draw bar was over the gully’s they have around the park. A few big sites on one side of the grass area but definitely not enough around the park. Families have big vans these days….. and most draw bars were getting onto the road.
Another couple came behind us…. Had a 9metre van, as was ours, they struggled to fit it on the tiny concrete slab, the wife went up to complain and one of the receptionists told her she didn’t measure here van properly. She was told to book it as a 10metre van next time. Just shocking. They need to close it down and upgrade the whole park to accommodate for families with big vans.

Great pool, great location, clean amenities. Not worth the $ to be crammed in such small spots. Not relaxing at all.

Stayed a couple of nights here in a Studio Cabin. It was great! So relaxing as we could enjoy the holiday park facilities - kitchen, pool and our neighbours camping in tents or in caravan trailers. Such a nice family friendly atmosphere. The Studio Cabin was clean and newly refurbished - we enjoyed watching Netflix. Best part is the location which is walking distance to Port Macquarie town - all flat and easy to walk. You can even walk all the way up to the larger shopping centre which has a Kmart. Watch the sunrise and so much more. Had a very restful and relaxing holiday here.

We stayed here for 2 night with 4 kids. If you have a big van you need to book early as they are limited on big van spots but other then that this caravan park is perfect for families.
The amenities were clean and the park well maintained with awesome friendly staff upon arrival. There is a huge skate park and playground right next door with an amazing Cafe.

Gorgeous location with excellent facilities. Swimming pool, playground, and dog friendly with a dog wash. 3 amenity blocks are evenly spread throughout the park, each with toilets, laundry, and good disability access. Bitumen roads with deep gutters (obviously, it must get some heavy rain at some stage) but perfect weather now! Large caravan sites with either cement slabs or green shade cloth. Situated beside the river breakwall, which has a paved walkway from the town beach along to the wharf area cafes and shops. Excellent location for fishing, diving, and swimming. Huge park, many cabins, and beautifully maintained. Well done NRMA!

This is a huge park. The Powered caravan sites are very very close & very tight & roads in are very narrow. We are 27 ft to draw & hitch was only just off the road. We felt too enclosed & too close to neighbours for comfort. However the park is well maintained & amenities clean. It is situated right on water, short walk to shops & restaurants & port central for everything. Great path for coastal walk. Enjoyed beautiful prawns from the Prawn van & good pizza from pizza van. Weekends were noisy late into the evenings. 4 stars for location & cleanliness.

Fantastic caravan park that was well equiped and had activities on for kids, they organised a movie night and had a pizza truck and prawn selling van on site on various days.
Easily able to walk to the break wall, beaches and good coffee shops. The park had a good vibe about it. The cabin was clean, although a bit of a strange set up with bunk beds central in the room and two bucket chairs rather than a lounge, although perhaps the space didn’t allow for a lounge.

The only issue was the staff weren’t that helpful when I really needed it when trying to move my car out by checkout time, as a Mum travelling solo with two young kids, when I asked for flexibility to help me navigate the youngest asleep in the pram, they weren’t interested in being helpful which slightly spoilt a lovely stay. Otherwise every other interaction with staff had been positive.

5-Star Review for NRMA Breakwater Holiday Park, Port Macquarie||I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support my family received from NRMA Breakwater during a very challenging time. While my mum and dad were staying at the park, my mum suffered a medical emergency. From the moment it happened, Dawn and her husband Ray went above and beyond to help our family. ||They immediately extended my dad’s stay so he could be near the hospital and assisted us with anything we needed as we travelled to Port Macquarie to visit my mum. Their kindness and compassion were truly remarkable, as was that of all the staff we encountered.||Dawn and Ray took care of every detail to make sure my dad was okay while we navigated through a difficult situation. Their hospitality and warmth went far beyond what we ever expected, and we will always be grateful for everything they did for us.||We look forward to returning one day to say thank you properly, but for now, we just want to say how deeply appreciative we are. If you are looking for a caravan park where the staff genuinely care, NRMA Breakwater is the place to be. Thank you again, Dawn and Ray—you are both truly amazing.
