We recently stayed at the NRMA Port Arthur Parks & Resort. Reserved our en suite powered spot online a week in advance. Check-in was quick, map of the holiday park provided and we were at our parking site in just a few minutes. ||Power and water worked perfectly. Very spacious grounds, we had plenty of space to ourselves, private bathroom 5 metres from our campervan was nice. Shower worked great, toilet just fine. The holiday park facilities including community kitchen, bathroom and laundry room were all in good condition. There are children's play areas, BBQ huts and a walking trail down to Stewart's Bay Beach and onward to the Port Arthur Historic Site for those who fancy stretching their legs a bit. ||Overall, we really enjoyed this particular holiday park and would probably choose to stay here a few nights next time instead of just one night.

Definitely one of the best parks we have ever stayed at. Great spacious and spread out caravan sites. Enough shades trees but not enough to hinder solar panels even though we had powered site. Amenities very clean - again the best kept and maintained we have ever been to. Might not be the best location wise for a long term holiday but we had 3 nights to explore the peninsula and found it suited us perfectly. Thanks.

If you’re staying in a tent, this campground might be a nightmare for you. The area is home to many wild animals, and the unpowered sites feel more like decorative afterthoughts than properly maintained camping areas. The grounds are full of animal droppings, rocks, overgrown weeds, and uneven terrain — it was impossible to sleep without rolling around all night.

At night, wild animals would come right up to the tent, and even go inside while we were sleeping, making a mess and stealing food (sigh). To make things worse, some people who weren’t even camping in tents would come out just to play with and feed these wild animals.

There were no signs in the area warning people not to feed wildlife. The amenities were placed in very inconvenient locations — if you’re staying at the far end of the unpowered sites, you’ll have to walk a long way just to use them.

And the showers? A 5-minute time limit with barely any water pressure. At first, when there weren’t many people, you could tell the facilities were being cleaned. But later on, it was obvious that maintenance had stopped — the toilets were consistently filthy.

The laundry facilities were also inadequate — only two washing machines and four dryers for the entire campground, with one of the dryer appeared to be fully functioning with no warning or error signs, yet it didn’t produce any heat. We unknowingly wasted our money on it, like tossing coins into the ocean.

This is by far the most disappointing campground I’ve stayed at. Even though the location is decent, unless you’re staying in a building or a campervan, it’s going to be a disaster.

Easy after hours check in, staff made it as easy as possible when arriving late.

Stayed in one of their peninsula cabins and was more than adequate for the 3 night stay. Cabin was very spacious and modern with most facilities one could need,

Very quiet location, not far from the Port Arthur Historic Site.

Staff where very friendly and helpful, would return

Great location 4km from Port Arthur. Was a great first night stop to charge the RV, get your bearings and get to Port Arthur the next day. Gorgeous setting. Fantastic facilities including showers, toilets, laundry, shared kitchen and eatinf area. Very useful on a rainy day.
The cabins on the lake looked amazing

We had an unforgettable evening on the grounds of this hotel. You can buy food for the parrots and wallabies right at the reception desk, which was such a fun experience. We were also able to easily wash and dry our clothes. The cabins were clean, in excellent condition, and everything was working perfectly.

We stayed at the stargazing tent and it was great. Very fancy and romantic space. The kitchen is self-contained. Besides the basics, there are other utensils provided like cheese grater, salad bowl and a big plate.

The room can cater up to 4 people. Very spacious room and the outdoor area is fantastic. We planned to watch stars outside at night, but unfortunately the sky wasn’t clear that night.

Near the tent accommodation area, there’s a track to walk to the beach.

This is our second stay here. The first we had a campervan & used the shared facilities. Showers toilets very clean, kitchen clean. We had a great stay. We are in a cabin for our second visit. Very comfy, tidy and with a great view. Great place to stay, children will love feeding the parrots, Pademelons and possums. Thoroughly recommend as we really enjoyed our stay.
