I visited this hotel for a conference, and it was really good. The conference room was on the first floor with plenty of space, and coffee was served to all upon arrival. Parking was easy on surrounding streets and free. We went for a walk during the break, and the beach was stunning. Lunch was served on time and was delicious, with plenty of choices for all. The dessert was also nice.

This was a great central hotel to everything we needed for the weekend. Close to the gorgeous beach, close to delicious eating places and close to a wedding we were there to attend. Rooms are well appointed and any requests were provided promptly. Housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating.
We would not hesitate recommending this accommodation

Oceanview queen rooms with balcony. Good - room spacious, bed comfortable, view great, location great.|Bad - no in room complimentary water, wifi very expensive, parking expensive, tired decor, aircon outdated and really drying, need humidifiers, no smart tvs for streaming.|We were here for my daughter’s wedding which was across the street, she booked for our family and bridal party a year ago. We checked in earlier as staying 4 nights and check in smooth. All rooms booked were the same, oceanview queen with balcony. And all on the same floor. When the rest of the wedding party came the next day, check in staff tried to give them rooms with no balcony. And the guy at reception was quite rude. When we could prove that balconies were paid for and if weren’t received that we would be asking for a refund of the extra money, suddenly they could find the balcony rooms.|There was a corporate function on the same time and I got the impression that they were catered to more. Obviously that is the money maker and because our wedding wasn’t on site care factor was zero.|Honestly, for the money that it cost me ( over $1400 for 4 nights), I wouldn’t stay here again. Amenities in hotel are good but the rooms are tired, need updating and all the extras should be included, like free wifi. |Bar staff were friendly and helpful.

Great location, old building but nice refurbishment, pleasant, refurbished room and bathroom. Good service overall.
On the negative side, poached and fried eggs for breakfast should be cooked fresh on demand, and not offered warming up under lights. Quality deteriorates rapidly. Scrambled eggs are passable, just, but not poached or fried. Also, for at least one of the breakfasts, butter was not offered, just margarine.

I will definitely stay here every time I come to Wollongong. I love staying here.
You can listen to the waves at night and watch the sunrise and sea during the day.
The hotel manager‘s attitude needs to be improved. Other services are very good.
The hotel has a good environment. I hope it can still maintain the 5 stars in my heart next time I come here.

Like most Novotel Hotels the Wollongong Northbeach doesn't disappoint. |My room on the top floor (Level 10) had a lovely north facing beach view over the coastline. The room itself was particularly large, spacious and provided all the usual creature comforts. The bathroom was of normal size but lacked a rain shower head (not a big deal). If there was one feature I could point out was the toilet and how close to the wall it was located. This may make things a little uncomfortable for 'larger' persons. I had a buffet style breakfast in the Palisade Kitchen & Bar which adjoins the Novotel and found it also very good. With a spread of hot dishes and cereals it was a great start to the day. The hotel is situated right on the beach which is nice. There are no close by 7-11 type convenience stores but these are about a 5-10 minute walk away.|I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wollongong - it won't disappoint.

I was here for a conference. The location is amazing and had a great waterfront room. The rooms were not bad but the place feels like it needs a good renovation, particularly the corridors which need a paint, carpet feels like it needs a steam clean and the general vibe feels dated. Good stay for convenient location.

Stayed at Novotel Wollongong overnight, and it was great. The room is clean and smelled clean and spacious enough for my family of 5. The room is a bit outdated with the carpet floor, but it didn't feel filthy. If anything, it's just the lack of a casting device that I gave it a four star. The proximity to the beach is fantastic. Although it was cloudy during our stay, just the walk along the beach is energising. Had breakfast buffet at the hotel and it was plenty with enough variety. Overall, I am very happy with our stay.
