Only five minutes walk from all the restaurants and nightlife across the river. Tram stop right outside. I loved the reduced use of plastics: wooden door pass instead of a plastic card, glass bottles of water instead of plastic ones, etc. Cooked breakfast with plenty of vegan options was great.

Comfortable enough, but a few things to improve.

First and most importantly, the gym. They need a better cable weight setup. The current machine has lat pull down which was broken, leg extension/curl and bench press. 2 peloton bikes which require an account to do any sort of tracking of the workout, which really annoys me. I just want to jump on and ride. Accor needs to get rid of the peloton bikes. 2 treadmills, one elliptical and one rowing machine. Tv works, which is a plus at least.

Steam room was barely warm. Spa was cool, pool was clean but cold (April).

Tried to charge me $35/day for parking when I had prepaid it months ago for $20/day, but had forgotten.

Walls a little thin, could hear the baby crying next door. The crying is not their fault, but the thin walls are.

Good proximity to lots of restaurants and the the Riverside Theatre.

I can hardly give this place any stars. They enter to the room without us requesting
! The cleaner clean the room half! the toilet wasn’t clean. There were so many areas with the technical issues! their parking were not working. The room was full of mold, and the walls weren’t even painted. There wasn’t even a hairdryer, which is a basic amenity in most hotels. Parking isn’t included in the booking and costs extra.I don’t know how they gos even 3.9 star in google reviews. The only good thing was the location of the hotel and thats all.

Not sure how it’s considered a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is always the same no variety in what is offered. Room layout is different and I don’t know why they thought it would be good to have a ledge to get into and out of the bathroom. Stepping out of the tub there is a big gap coming down almost like you’re jumping down.

Airconditioning not working in room so called up reception. Said they’d send someone up. Nobody came for 45 mins. Recalled reception and duty manager (Henry) came and advised that it was an old hotel in need of renovations and there was not much they could do other than trying to change controls from main central control unit for the room.

To hotel management - please undertake the renovations to your rooms (updating bathrooms, room layout/ambience) so that you will have more happier/loyal Accor members (like me) return for their stay.

No stars, poorest service you could think of, rooms not great, poorly done plumbing job. Delay checking in and delay checking out. reception could not provide an invoice at check out and even after 2 weeks , given more than 7 follow ups via email and phone calls. Phone calls are disasters - still waiting past more than 40mins right now

I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. Used cups and silverware was left in the room my entire stay. I had to go to the bar in the lobby to get clean cups and silverware. I don’t understand why dirty cups and silverware was not cleared.

Second, my laundry order was tampered by the hotel staff. I requested laundry service for socks and underwear and my bill came to 134AUD. The manager (Deborah) did not take responsibility for the issue and placed the blame of the order issue on the customer. Deborah did offer a 50% discount on the laundry bill which she believed is a reasonable price to launder 6 pairs of socks and 10 pairs of underwear. I’m more than happy to pay for the service and I expected to pay a premium because the service is offered by the hotel. However, the staff should have clearly explained the service fees when I handed over the order at reception instead of tampering with the work order without notifying the customer. This process is flawed and leads to mistakes. I suggest reevaluating this process to make it more error proof.

Lastly, I appreciate the hotel's eco friendly initiatives by having refillable glass bottles for water. From a customer service perspective, these bottles should be refilled with still water daily as a representation of good customer service. Unfortunately, out of my 2 week stay the bottle was refilled only twice. It made a big difference on the 2 days when I returned to my room from work to see water was available. On the other days I had to drop my bags and take the lift back down to refill the bottle myself. It’s completely understandable if I wanted more water to go refill myself. However I expect the cleaning crew to refill the water as they cleaned the room.

1 The Bathroom is covered in mould, tiny and poorly maintained
2 The AC doesn’t cool the room properly cycling wildly from hot to only just cool
3 All you hear is doors repeatedly slamming throughout the day and night
4 The gym equipment is broken or unusable
5 The pool is empty and the terrace is covered in debris
6 The service at the front bar is quite slow if you can even find anyone
7 The rooms are so dark it’s difficult to work and get ready
8 Everything is so dated

This hotel is such a disappointment to the Accor and Notovel brands. I would not recommend this place, stay somewhere else.

The hotel has copy+paste responses to reviews like this which is also disappointing, people have mentioned the same things in reviews over time but it obviously hasn’t been remedied.
