After staying last year at the Novotel we decided we would stay again this year for my daughters birthday. We weren't disappointed as the staff, hotel and location were great. Warm welcome on arrival, our rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. We had buffet breakfast which was always plentiful, fresh and had gluten free options available. Mel was always happy and polite and her greeting in the morning always started the day off in a great way. Nothing was a bother and she made everyone feel welcome.|Most staff were courteous and helpful.|The pool with swim up bar and the surrounds were always clean and well maintained, the pool was certainly a hit!|Location is great, easy walking distance to the marina, dining on the esplanade, aquarium next door and Cairns Central plaza about a 15 minute walk. Will definitely stay again when in Cairns.

Really enjoyed our week long stay at the resort. We stayed in Block C, which in my opinion is the best one. We travelled with our 8 month old daughter and my parents in a separate room. The staff were really friendly. Especially Melanie in the mornings. Breakfast was alright, nothing special. The pool bar staff are all really friendly but could do with an extra set of hands at that bar.
The location is perfect walking distance to the esplanade.

Great hotel for kids during the school holidays as they have daily programs for the kids which is a plus. I ended up booking the deluxe suite, nice and spacious however the fridge smelt like mould which wasn’t pleasant.

Staff were awesome and always happy.

Swim up bar was really good however not too
Much tap beer option, swim up bar closed at 6pm when the other side of the same bar was open till 8pm and the pool open till 9pm so its fair to say for the swim up bar to be open till later.

The bar service however was pretty slow, I remember waiting 20 minutes in the pool before being served, I would suggest more staff around the pool bar.

I had a wonderful stay at Novotel for my birthday. Staff member Mel looked after us - I had a lovely birthday cake delivered to my room shortly after check in and she was friendly, bright bubbly and helpful with everything. We then were lucky enough to experience her wonderful customer service yet again at our breakfast the next day. Definately a valuable employee to hold onto!

This was our second stay at Novotel Oasis. Staff are friendly, location is fantastic. We love the pool, vibe and swim up bar. Buffet breakfast is good. The food off the menu was okay, not bad but nothing made us want to go back for more. Hotel is well maintained and clean. The VIK kids program is fantastic, my boy really took to Juan. Will def come back one day for a third stay.

We chose this hotel because of the lagoon style pool, not sure if we would go out for many activities with our 2yo daughter - she had an absolute blast. Our room was beautiful with a lovely (and safe) balcony (unexpected) looking over the pool and ocean and we were blessed to have an extra bed inside. The lagoon pool was an absolute highlight. Our daughter was highly entertained the whole time with the pool - from playing in sand and the lagoon section of the pool to playing in the kiddie pool which is right alongside the sand. She had a ball. Food was great, drinks were great. My husband loved the swim up bar.

The only negative was that the place seemed very packed on Saturday with what seemed to be daytrippers. Friday and Sunday were much more relaxed days.

Our stay at The Cairns Hotel was amazing from start to finish! Juan at reception gave us such a warm and welcoming greeting—it felt like he genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time.

The good vibes didn’t stop there. The pool bar team, especially Marcus, was fantastic! They made us feel so comfortable and prepared some of the best cocktails we’ve had in a long time.

The combination of great people and great service made our stay unforgettable. We’d totally recommend The Cairns Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and friendly place to stay!

We recently had a family gathering in Cairns and stayed as a big group at the Novotel|Mel the hostess at the restaurant is an absolute gem! Her warm, funny, and welcoming nature made every meal a joy. She’s the heart of the place, ensuring guests feel special. A true delight! Nothing was too much trouble for her and she made us feel like part of the family. She is the reason we will be returning .
