My understanding is that NEX is a club with a range of venue spaces for hire, hence the name.

Parking is good on a Sunday due to the free 9 to 6 offer. At the time of visiting there is also a spending $20 getting all day parking deal but I didn't investigate further.

There is a good selection of eateries and a bar on the ground floor. The food is well prepared and good value. Members enjoy a 10% discount.

The facilities are quite new and well maintained.

The main event hall is quite spacious and well equipped.

The front of house skills of Rory need immediate attention, asked to become a member and because I was my usual bubbly self he refused me entry. Felt personally attacked for some reason, especially when the establishment across the road let me in without hesitation. Bad taste.

Food, seating, and decor were lovely. However I was banned from moving from my table by venue staff after helping my friend (who stumbled in her heels) back to our table as they said we were drunk, despite the fact that I was holding her up after she fell, we were both walking perfectly straight in heels (after at least 4 hours of being on our feet), speaking coherently to staff when trying to hear what they were telling us, and we showed no other visible signs of being drunk. I have done my RSA course and work at a club, and was reassured by other patrons that we were not acting drunk or otherwise intoxicated. Considering the price of the event $1800 total for both parties, our parties had to leave after this (as we were restricted to our table and unable to further partake in the event). A waste of money and a horrible end to a previously lovely night.
