5 stars all round. It's a big venue! This place has a great family atmosphere where the food and beverages are great.The staff are always friendly, easy-going, they are an awesome crew. Toilets are always clean and well-maintained. I'd recommend everyone and anyone to definitely treat yourself at the National. The parking lot is decent, but the venue is very popular, so it can get full up, but it's easy to find a free space.

We have stayed here on two occasions and plan to return next year. The facilities and staff are absolutely fantastic.
It makes it so easy for us while away from home on a work trip because they have a bistro attached to the accomodation service. The food is of a great standard and the staff are welcoming and efficient.
We feel very lucky to have found this gem.
Thank you for making our lives a little bit easier at a busy time.

We loved our stay at the National Hotel Complex. Dinner at the bistro was great value and delicious, as was breakfast the following day. We stayed in one of the spa rooms. The spa was exactly what we needed after a tough few weeks at work. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out and the pillows and bedding were plush and luxurious. We left feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated.

To all the staff at the National Bistro. You made Mum's 80th birthday party amazing, the food, service and help to bring it all together was amazing and appreciated. The staff was amazing and so helpful. They looked after everything I needed, from a baby high chair to organizing the cake candles and bringing them out. Thank you for everything 10/10. Highly recommended for your event. They will go above and beyond to make sure your event is sensational.

Decided to try the national hotel for dinner.
ordered a rump steak (rare), I was surprised that actually cooked it perfectly.
That's the good news, steak was so chewy that 90% of it I left on the plate, chips were good, salad was spinach leaves and onions with a slash of tomato.
with so impressed when the waiting staff told me that they had no steak knives, "if I find one I will bring it over"
will never dine here again

We are no strangers to the Hotel National. As we went early in the week and for lunch it wasn't very busy, so the service was excellent. We have been when it's very busy and the service was also excellent. Being a group of 40, we all had various meals from the menu; no complaints from anyone. I think that we obviously like the place we see and we keep returning.

Had dinner there and gee was it flat out busy on Saturday night. The food was good. Came out in reasonable time considering how flat out it was. Wasn't to loud and we didn't feel squished in. The only down part was the bar service in the back bar. The barman was very hard to understand and looked confused with some drink orders. Totally understand it was cocktail night but maybe have an extra barman to help out.

I was excited to try the meals at The National Hotel after receiving good feedback from others. We also had not been since being under new management so was keen to try. We booked to have dinner with friends visiting from out of town for Easter. After ordering our meals. We waited for approximately 1 1/2 hrs for our meals to be served. Only for 3 meals to be served minus the 4th meal which took an extra 20 minutes to arrive. The meals that were served were at best lukewarm and looked like they had just been slapped on the plate in a rush. The portion sizes were quite small for the money. I have definitely had better experiences elsewhere for similar money. I have to say it was a busy night but nothing I wouldn’t have thought a business of this nature should be used to managing. When enquiring about the delay staff did apologise but it would have been nice to have been offered some complimentary entrees while we waited. I will not be going back in a hurry and will not be recommending to friends or family.
