It could be a great place but it feels very dark and dingy inside. The lights need repairing as a lot of them don’t work. They really really need to have the carpets professionally cleaned and then just tidy the place up, remove power cables that seem to be hanging off a couple of walls. I think the staff try hard and the food is quite good.

I'll get back there one day. Visited on a Friday and got there around 11:40. Advertised opening time was 11:30 but no sign of anyone and no cars in the car park. I went and had lunch and a coffee at the local bakery and called back at around 12:15. It looked & sounded like someone was moving around inside getting ready to open but it wasn't actually open yet. I'll maybe head back at Saturday lunch time when its likely to be a bit busier.

Good older style hotel,beer was cold and the seniors meals were good and plentiful. Staff were friendly. It doesnt look much inside and out but what it lacks in bs it makes up in other ways a bit of a trip back to when pubs were just pubs.We will return.

i walked into the hotel and through a pickle that had uranium in it at the receptionist and she turned into a burnt 3 piece chicken McNuggets sandwich which contained mitch pope poopy flaps and palm oiler mixed with creamy bongle

Great service by Jay n Bindi, tap beer selection is awesome and price is unbeatable. Never had a bad meal here either. Thanks for upgrading the place and taking it to the next level, it needs a lot of energy & resources. And for that your locals love you, and so do we.

As I find myself slowly exploring the Victorian countryside on my long awaited holiday, I have found myself temporarily holed up in the goon doing some work for a local family business. After a gruelling sticky experience at work we decided to pull in on the way home. The pub on this day wasn't overly busy, but the staff were up for some banter. The food was as Victorians would say "grouse". It was perfect, it was what I would expect from a succulent pub meal.
