Had the most magical visit to the south coast of NSW for the first time. Mystery Bay Cottages was the perfect place to stay - great cottages sets in a serene and secluded location overlooking a rolling hills landscape and a short 400m walk to what felt like a private beach. There are so many beaches to explore - raw nature at its best.

The area is so picturesque, each coastal town with its own unique features. We visited Tilba also which is so quaint and pretty. All towns we visited were only 5-20 mins away.

Can’t rate this highly enough with wonderful hosts, and small black wallabies also regularly passed through to say hello:)

Mystery Bay is a stunning location where country meets the coast. The Mystery Bay Cottages are a hidden gem situated on a beautiful property, 5 minutes from gorgeous coastal beaches and close to nearby towns like Narooma. ||The property is well maintained, picturesque, quiet and relaxing and a great place to unwind or spend time with the family in one of their lovely accommodation options, complete with beautiful views and easy access to beaches and beautiful walks. Has an option of Glamping as well with outdoor dining experiences.||The property has a lovely games room and accessibility to movies, books and everything to unwind and relax whilst on the property. The property is also perfectly located for trips to a number of nearby towns which have lovely local businesses, cafes and restaurants to visit.||Laurence and Kai are wonderful hosts who ensure that you get the most out of your stay. They are accommodating, friendly, fun and passionate about the property, area and community. Highly recommended.

Recently stayed here with my family and had a fantastic time.
The cottages have all basic necessities for a short stay. We are a family of 4 and felt we had plenty of space.
The games room was great and kept the kids entertained.
My highlight was my early morning walk to Billie’s beach just in time for sunrise.
You really feel like you have managed to get away from it all here.

Lovely quiet location, but not too far from Narooma to grab provisions for your stay. The cabin we stayed in was very comfortable and well appointed. The little touches were great - even a jar of bird seed to feed the morning chorus. Short walk to Billy’s Beach - our visit was during winter, but can imagine this would be a great summer beach for swimming and exploring the rock pools. Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming. We’ll be back.

I loved every moment of my stay at Mystery Bay Cottages. I was there for a four day art workshop and the venue could not have been more perfect. So many stunningly beautiful places to walk to and paint. So peaceful and quiet. I stayed in one of the smaller cabins and it was perfect for me! Very comfortable and well equipped! I was worried I might feel cold (I was there in May), but the cabin heated up quickly with the help of a space heater and was super cosy and comfy. I'll be back!

We stayed two nights in a two bedroom cottage (number 5) The cottage was fairly basic but clean and comfortable and in a great location. You can't see the ocean from the cottages but you can certainly hear it and the beach is just a short walk away. (Great spot to watch the sun rise.)|There is plenty of wildlife around - kangaroos and wallabies grazing nearby and birds of all shapes, sizes and colours visiting the verandah (bird seed provided) or just flying by. We went for walks along the nearby tracks and saw plenty of wildlife but we also picked up a tick or two so be sure to pack the strong spray. |The kitchen has everything you need to cook a family meal and laundry facilities are also available. |The booking process was simple and friendly and the host got in touch with me on the day to let me know where to find the key. |The cottages are just a short drive away from Narooma, Tilba and Bermagui and there are plenty of beaches, beautiful waterways and bushland nearby.

Mystery Bay does not disappoint. We stayed in the glamping tents for three nights. The camp set up has everything you need to make the stay enjoyable - fully equipped kitchen, plunger coffee, hot showers, eco toilets, comfortable bed and unique style tent. The camp ground was spacious and well kept. Ideal if you like camping but don’t have or want to invest in all the goods needed. Nice to be in nature out if the city. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. The property is a breathtaking mix between nature and ocean. Bird life is abundant, less than 5 minute walk to Billy’s Beach and close to Mystery Bay beach. Billy’s Beach is fantastic for shell collecting. The property has an on-site games room and tennis court. If you bring all your food, you really have no need to leave. The only improvement for the glamping would be to have options for bigger families to glamp, if possible, as the tents are set up for two pax only. The property is ideally situated within easy reach of Tilba, Narooma and Bermagui. All have abundant dining and cafe options. Will be back again.
