Recently stayed the night at the showgrounds and was absolutely stoked. The caretaker was lovely, the park was beautiful, great for morning walks. The amenities block was absolutely spotless, they even took the time to put out fresh flowers every day. The kids enjoyed seeing the chickens in the morning. Highly recommend

We wanted to spend a night at the showground today. So, we called the host beforehand. On the phone, he assured us that a site with electricity was available. However, upon arrival, we were told that a site with electricity was not possible. Furthermore, he wanted us to pay per person rather than per site, charging $35 per adult, while children were to pay $10 – which he generously agreed to waive. Additionally, during the conversation, he mentioned that there would be numerous drunken festival attendees partying until at least midnight.

These details should have been communicated over the phone. There is an urgent need for improvement here. Not with us today.

We stayed at the showgrounds and it was a really nice spot, power and water @$30 a night, we stayed for a week. There was a market on just a couple hundred meters from our van so no trying to beat crowds. Very pleasant experience ☺️

Surprised at paying $40 for a Showground - most we have paid. Very sloshy and muddy underfoot. Amenities very good and dog friendly. Weekly Farmers Markets (Thursday) in other part of venue. Great place for breakfast (but no dogs at Market)

Amenities are super clean. However camp kitchen basically is a BBQ and a sink. What’s more, you won’t even have access to it when there’s an event. There’s no bin around so be prepared.
$35 for a night, unpowered is a bit too expensive for the service it offers.

Great place to stay , lovely people looking after the ground, facilities are perfect, showers and toilets are clean and modern.... 35 per night per site unpowered... Cheapest in the far north NSW.. easy access to Byron, potty and the Goldcoast....
