Great decor, nice surprise to come inside to a cozy speak-easy vibe. Cocktails were a bit over-priced but food arrived really quick and service was attentive. Nice night out.

It's so busy, but the waiting staff managed to fit us in. It's Mother's Day, after all. Was expecting a larger choice on the menu, still ok, and enjoyed the feed.

The service was fantastic and very welcoming. The settings look lovely, I couldn't believe my ears. Some of the music tracks were the Beatles, damn that brings back some childhood jams.

Overall, it's a warm and comfortable place to drop by for brunch. I think most would enjoy their time here.

Thank you to the staff that fit us in, considering it was booked out. Really appreciated the moment we had here.

Located a little stroll away from Penrith’s train station and at the heart of Penrith, Mr Watkins is, most likely, one of the most welcoming places, we have ever set foot in. This is a day-time café with an evening restaurant. It is set in a beautifully restored former fishmonger shop. From the concise menu that is not overflown with hundreds of options of which nothing really tastes, we ordered Mr Watkins’ traditional cheese burger. This is a cheese burger as it should be. As a side dish, we selected a bowl of chips. This is café food at its best. We also ordered something we had never seen before: a “bread pie”. It is basically a “cranked up jaffle”. Ours was the “philly cheese steak” one that came with steak, capsicum, onion, cheese and mayo. We rounded it all up with two generously sized mugs of cappuccino (mine) and café latte (him). This is a fun place with Uber-friendly staff. We cannot wait to return to Penrith’s Mr Watkins to try the restaurant menu. For a rather unassuming looking café (from the outside), Mr Watkins is an exquisite delight.

Visited Mr Watkins after a long day trip, we came late and the kitchen was closing but the lovely staff at the front still had time to seat us for a quick meal.

I was absolutely blown away with everything I experienced. From the front of the house, to our lovely server and the chefs and even the bar staff. They had something to do with every aspect of our experience.

We ordered the following: grilled corn ribs, potato bake, buffalo wings and their house made fettuccine.

The char on the corn ribs wow you could smell it as I was eating, no piece of corn left on those ribs ridiculously flavourful.

Buffalo wings with their blue cheese sauce, not a piece of meat left on those wings after I was done.

Potato baked cooked to absolute perfection, potatoes weren’t soggy and had a nice bite to it.

House made fettuccine was cooked with prawns and olive oil, perfectly al dente and was a light flavour and easy to eat.

Everything came with in 15 minutes and the quality was A1 even though they were closing they made sure that the food was made how it was meant to be.

We were out of there within 30 minutes because everything was so quick and easy.

Had a wonderful visit this afternoon. Food is 10/10.
I had a mac n cheese bread pie, which was nicely filled, with a great cheese sauce.
The fries have a really nice seasoning.
Staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is peaceful.
Looking forward to visiting the night bar.

Been here twice now and cannot complain at all! Food is always delicious and perfectly cooked. Drinks were fantastic, they had Hard Creaming Soda and Paddle Pop shots for something different. Absolutely recommend this place and will definitely come back for more.

You walk past this place and you're like "man... I bet that must be an interesting place". Sure enough it is. Great atmosphere and vibe. Enjoyed my coffee. Good place to chill and have a yarn.

The dining area at the back - felt like one was on a movie set. Definitely enjoyed my coffee hang here.

Having an eat here may be challenging as the meat is not halal sourced. But again, wins as a spot to have coffee for me.
