Great cafe - a bit unexpected for our impression of what we’d find in Wagga.
The cafe decor was very modern, the on table ordering system was easy to use and functioned well, the website was slick.
The staff were not very attentive however, often avoiding eye contact and didn’t even respond when we thanked them on our way out.
The menu was quite varied. We had the breakfast grill and the pumpkin fritters. The breakfast grill was huge - overall very tasty but the 2 lamb chops were a little overcooked. The pumpkin fritters were great - crunchy and tasty, the mushrooms cooked perfectly and the fennel seeds and feta perfect.
The coffee was great.
The price was pretty expensive though. The cafe itself was hard to find - we walked around for a while looking for it, tucked away at the back of a building and next to a home wares shop.

Came in asked for a table for one. I was sitting at my table for more than 10 mins waiting. Then I walked up to the counter admins asked was it table service or do I order here?

I ordered the brekkie burger but wanted a normal roll didn’t have it so I went with the sourdough. It was the best bread iv ever had so fresh it was soft! Amazing sandwich 10/10 it was so fast once I put my order in.

The coffee was pretty good too. They should do more table service would make it 5 stars

You’d be forgiven for missing Mr. Lawrence, which is tucked just off Wagga Wagga’s main street under Riverina Home Centre signage. Even our cab driver hadn’t heard of it. However you’d be missing out on a good cafe breakfast… even if the Turkish eggs ($25) did come topped with a little non-standard kale. Served with small slices of buttered sourdough on a bed of cumin yoghurt, the plate of poached eggs has a nice chilli kick.

If you prefer the kind of breakfast you can eat quickly in one hand, there are a range of different bun-based items, from a breakfast burger ($19) to a Benny roll ($16) slathered with Hollandaise. We opted for the more standard bacon and egg roll ($14) where good quality bacon was folded inside a brioche bun with a fried egg, a golden cheese slice and barbecue sauce. Morning Gorgeous beans from Evolve North in Shepparton do the job in a cappuccino ($5).

We're out-of-towners so thought we'd take a chance and pop in. When we asked if there was a table for 3 available, we got a brusque "have you got a booking?" (probably need to work on the meet and greet patter there). After that all smooth sailing and a lovely way to spend a Sunday brunch with family. Online menu ordering does not cater for how you like your eggs cooked.

Went for lunch today, lovely experience in the outdoor dining area. Nice sunny day definitely helped! Meals came out promptly and tasted fantastic for the dishes we tried, will be back to try more in future. Not sure if they offered table service but I went to the window to order, easy reservation system too. Great new addition to the growing Wagga restaurant and Cafe scene, congratulations to Jamie, Luke & the team! Get over there, support local businesses and give them a try!

Some renovations were going on, but we still had a very pleasant breakfast. We all had something different and we all enjoyed our meals. They catered well for my requirements as a Coeliac, very accommodating. My hot chocolate was great. Very busy.

Great little find in Wagga. Food was good, coffee was good, they had some cold press juices on offer that was also good.

Despite the Cafe is a bit hidden we found it and sat down. We ordered using the QR code and found it easy to navigate. The online menu was pretty annoying because it doesn't have options for different milks or adding sugar. Just little things that were annoying.

We placed our order which was very expensive for the quality. We then waited around 10 mintues for all of our drinks to arrive.

They were a bit underwhelming but still acceptable. We then got food around 15 mintues later.

The food looked nice but could have been better. Our server was quite nice but didn't bother asking if we needed anything else, I also noticed they forgot someone else's cutlery.

The server also had a small backhanded response, we asked if our burgers came with chips and she replied "Yes, but I only have two hands..."

We each enjoyed our food but agreed they could be improved. My Asian sticky lamb ribs weren't sticky and needed more sauce, I also had way more fat than meat.

My Mums burger fell apart in her hands and lacked in favour. Although my Dads cod burger tasted nice he thought the slaw had to much Mayo.

The chips were nice if not a little too salty. I also ordered another Iced chocolate that tasted very powdery if that makes sense. It also had the whole cup filled with ice.

Honesty wouldn't come back.

Despite my earlier comments I decided to try out Mr Lawrence again. This time we made a reservation and were treated nicely.

I must admit that parking here is quite limited. The drinks came out at a decent speed but were incredibly small for their price. The coffee was delicious I just wish their large was bigger.

Their was a bit of a wait for the food but it was pretty packed so it was okay. Finally we got our food and were happy to see that the quality had improved.

I also noticed their online ordering had been changed to allowed you to modify the drinks properly.

The food was quite nice and decent sizing. The staff were not very friendly but it didn't bother us much. The prices were also better this time. They also had blankets for kids.
