We loved our 2 night stay at Mountview Homestead in our caravan - had the place to ourselves! So peaceful and relaxing and a great out of town base to explore the Toowoomba region. Katrina met us on arrival and showed us around. She was very friendly and helpful during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Mountview has everything you need - toilets, a hot shower, fire pits. A barn with tables, TV and a pool table and a separate BBQ area. Sunsets were amazing. Would thoroughly recommended Mountview.

Katrina guided us to their property, provided gate code & greeted us on arrival. We had tried a number of other park options but no luck - at Mountview we had the paddock to ourselves! |A little prcey @ $65pn 2 adults + teenager to link into power site. One toilet & 1 shower/toilet - clean. Weather wasn't kind with a rainy, windy night on the hill. The barn space, windmill & rustic items placed around the well maintained area is very charming. Buying their fresh farm eggs was a nice touch.

What a fabulous place to stay. Another couple joined us for 3 days caravan camping at Mountview for our annual Christmas in July. Katrina was a friendly and amazing host, showing us around and ensuring we had everything we needed. The big barn with seating and TV is a real asset and the buildings and outlooks are just beautiful. I sketched the barn while I was there. Thank you Katrina for being a great host. We were almost reluctant to review Mountview Homestead as we loved the place that much we wanted to keep it a secret but that wouldn't be fair to the fabulous hosts, Katrina and Ian.. 😁 Stayed 3 nights in our caravan and 'Mountview' ticked all the boxes for us. Uncrowded serenity within a working cattle property, beautiful location with great views/sunset and the most decent and genuine hosts you ever will come across. Plus the rustic ambience of the old farm machinery, windmill and Ironbark barn (which doubles as a function venue) and the picture is complete. My now husband and I, had the greatest pleasure in holding our wedding at this glorious venue. The Homestead is immaculate and such a great vibe and backdrop for photos. The camping and caravan grounds are pristine and the ironbark shed was perfect for our reception. Thank you so much Katrina and Ian for opening your working farm and home to the public for these special events, it truly captured all of our guests, especially my new in-laws who are avid caravaners.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Mountview Homestead. The lovely, historic house was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we needed for our self catering stay.

We did eat out one night at the Bull and Barley Inn at nearby (just over 5 mins drive) Cambooya - a very enjoyable meal. We can also recommend a morning coffee at the General Store.

Ramsay is located about 20 minutes drive from Toowoomba.

Katrina is a wonderful host and it was great chatting with her and hearing about the history of the cottage and their farm.

We unreservedly recommend Mountainview Homestead as a very good place to stay for a couple or more - has 4 bedrooms.

Well what a pleasant experience. There's a sign out front so you can find the entrance easily. We pulled in, and after about 5 minutes we were greeted by Katrina. She was very cheery and welcoming. As an anxious person, I felt comfortable chatting with her.
Inside the house is so sweet. Lots of vintage artifacts around, but also some modern comforts.
Bedding was extremely comfortable. Including all the linen.
Enough cooking utensils to look after yourself.
We had hoped to see the cows a bit more, but we saw them from a distance:)
The interior is very cool, we stayed in April and it was quite chilly, so I recommend bringing warm clothing and shoes etc. Especially for those chilly mornings.

Me and my husband were married here a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely beautiful location and the homestead is just stunning. Working with Katrina was simple and easy, she was a wonderful help and helped make the setting up process for the wedding easy. The whole process went without a hitch!
Rooms were clean and homely. The barn was gorgeous and made a beautiful wedding venue. Thank you Katrina! Couldn’t recommend a better place to get married!
