Really comfortable stay, room was clean and bed was comfy as.
Jon and Steve were great company, good for a laugh and great local knowledge. It’s great spot, highly recommend if you want to get away but not too far away! And don’t forget to look up at night for the star views!

Falsely advertised as chef prepared meals and we had 2 young, lovely backpackers cooking basic meals. We discovered the dilapidated enclosed vegetable gardens which were in ruin...a sign of a once fully operational fresh island produce to table philosophy which obviously has not been happening for a very long time. The lodge had beautiful views and surroundings, our room was comfortable.

A fabulous February 2025 one week stay due to the spectacular views, location, the room, the wallabies, the communal lounge, the well- stocked bar, the coffee, and most importantly John, our chef and entertainer!

Both Toni & Scott went out of their way to make my stay exceedingly comfortable. Close to stunning beaches & walks, with divine food and service. Although each night was incredibly busy (with large groups each evening) the food service was prompt and staff were very responsive to all of my needs. The seafood platter was out of this world, full of flavour and overflowing the plate. Toni is an incredibly talented chef, weaving a myriad of flavour profiles into numerous sumptuous meals

Hosted my Flinders Island Photography Tour and stayed with Toni and Scott and their wonderful team.

Amazing location nice and close to some great photography spots.

Food was insanely good! Toni is an incredible chef. The food almost outdid the scenery.

Lovely remote location, a short distance to Trousers Point beach and Mt strzeleckie . Very comfortable, warm and clean rooms in a beautiful setting with awesome mountain views. Toni and Andrea looked after my Auswalk group very hospitably. Toni’s cooking was wonderful with a lot of variety. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Flinders island.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Incredible scenery from every room and being set on large acreage the serenity is amazing. Toni and Scott are simply exceptional hosts, and Toni's culinary chef skills are on display at the onsite restaurant . They were accommodating with everything and have great knowledge of the island, being long term locals (had the hot tub ready for us after the trek up Mt Strezlecki!!). The location is also fantastic, being about 10 minutes outside Whitemark, which is in the middle of the island and the major town for supplies. It also makes it easy to explore both North and South. We will definitely be back!!

Worst ever dining experience. We booked our 23rd anniversary dinner in advance for 6:00pm. We were expecting to be there for a couple of hours. At 6:00pm we were told there was a large table booking and to please put in our order on arrival. We said we’d like a pre-dinner drink, to enjoy the good weather and to walk around the grounds for 15 minutes. We were advised by our waitress to put in our order ahead of the large group. We obliged, expecting we would have time between pre—dinner drinks, entrees and mains to enjoy our time over two hours. Not so! We were rushed and told at 6:15pm our entrees were prepared. On finishing these at 6:25pm we were told our mains were already being cooked. We were shocked, as we'd clearly indicated from the very first time we made our booking that this dinner was a special occasion celebration. When we said stop cooking, as we desired a break and we’re not expecting to have dinner served so soon after, our waitress said she would ask chef to hold off completing cooking our fish. We had another drink and a break from the entree, and then on our return 15 minutes later at 6:45pm, we were instructed that the chef could not hold on any longer to prevent the fish she started cooking (before we asked for it to be served) from drying out. So we reluctantly agreed. We were certainly feeling incredibly rushed through our special anniversary celebration, and told our waitress so. Nothing was said or done to rectify this situation. We tasted the fish, and it was dry. At this time, just after 7:00pm, we did not finish our dinner, and we instead asked for the bill. No one came out to apologise. There was no offer made to adjust the meal, or to ask us how they could make our special evening. Clearly they expected us to work into their other large group table, and to eat and be gone in an hour or so. We paid $160.00 in full, no tip, for what was over-cooked, dry fish. There was no offer to make any adjustment on the bill. We left at 7:05pm, so disappointed with such insensitive service, and we’ll never recommend or be back again. We paid a hire taxi to drop us off and return us home, as we expected to be leaving in the dark. We left in broad daylight. Completely over-rated for any occasion. We expected a lot better service and understanding of customer needs on such a special occasion. You are better off going to the friendly folks at Whitemark Interstate Hotel pub.
