The Beer Garden is absolutely stunning at this time of year and the best in the Illawarra. We had a family lunch at the Hotel and had the most delicious selection of Entrees and Mains. They were so tasty and good value.
If you are planning a family gathering, this hotel is great for all ages. The staff are lovely and serving size generous. Highly recommend a visit to this gorgeous Hotel.

I've been to Mount Kembla Hotel on multiple occasions and I'm always so impressed, yet I can't help but feel a sense of sadness for the lack of patronage I've seen at this beautiful pub.

- Their beers are ice cold and cheap (Less that $8 for a schooner of Resch's and that's normal price)
- Great Pizzas which taste even better during their weekend specials.
- Awesome service

The best thing though is the beer garden and outdoor dining area. It is without a doubt the most beautiful pub in NSW and maybe even all of Aus. It is stunning, the sounds of the native birds and the scenic views of the escarpment are truly special.

I love that this is an independently owned hotel with NO pokie machines.

I have no affiliation with the owners or staff at this pub, I just really really love it and think it deserves way more praise and business.

This venue was fantastic! We celebrated our daughters 21st birthday at MKVH in the courtyard. We opted for the private bar and our barstaff were excellent. Special mention to Dan who was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. This made our function stress free and run smoothly. We definitely recommend this pub.

Mount Kembla is a great historical location 15 minutes Wollongong, generally very quiet during weekdays, easy parking and top spot for lunch at the pub, good food and service relaxing atmosphere. Same beautiful place on weekends with lots of visitors from outside the area, parking might be a bit more challenging.

I'm a local and been to the pub many times over the years. Staff are usually helpful & friendly so this review is not about them. Unfortunately there is one male barman that is always rude and non welcoming. Not sure if he is the publican or manager. He has no customer service skills, does not greet or smile. He is clearly in the wrong job! Most recently took some visitors form overseas here only to have them comment on his rudeness. Will be going to another pub next time.

Highly recommend I had my wedding here Kath and Dan went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect ❤️❤️

The courtyard is so beautiful a lot of space is perfect for weddings and party’s the food was amazing we had so much leftover
