They helped me through a tough patch. You can go fortnightly to get a generous hamper (even if there is just one of you) of long life food, frozen and fresh fruit and veges.
My only constructive criticism is to move the waiting room around so that there are six chairs and not four. Those two extra chairs would make a huge difference.

The emergency relief volunteers are amazing and obviously are welfare trained. My constructive criticism is that some of the food hamper volunteers are a bit abrupt (an older lady in particular). Not only do I have some special dietary requirements, sometimes when I know I won't eat it, I like to return it so someone else can have it. I've had an older male volunteer try to pressure me to take all of the food (though he was very friendly) and the older lady just seemed angry that she might have to put some items back. If the volunteers are not going to let people choose their own food (and I know, yes, that could be bedlam), they should be more polite if people return items they know they can't or won't possibly eat.

Thanks, you guys have been amazing 🤩

Disappointed The centre gave me food which I much needed and had to throw out all the veggies fruit etc was all off and not even eatable, it was the lowest of lows I got 1 tin of spaghetti with rust on the bottom, a cake mix 11 months over the etc nothing was eatable
I was so disgusted actually, I wouldn't recommend this community centre, I'm sure the staff take the best first which often happens it's very, very sad to think it goes on but it does...
I went there for the first time, and asking for a hand, out was extremely imbarassing. Some well to do people go from one community centre to the next and I. Ask just once
I'll never ask again

The team in the Training and Employment program have been amazing. I am a Disability Employment Services provider and I have been supporting two of our participants through their Skilling Queenslanders for Work program. Niamh has been fantastic to work with. Go team.

The dryer wrecked my only pair of brand new jeans some how have the exact same line in them plus it is horrible at getting the micro dust particles out of your clothing so when you shake out a shirt heaps of lint is on clothing . And as you have to use the setting they want that actually isnt more effectively efficient and if you have less in the dryer that takes over a couple of hours to dry why have a 15 min load of washing sit there till the end . Because i put clothes in dryer right and then when small 2nd load was done i put that in the dryer and so i had heaps of time and a cat whent away to come back to someone that would of grabed and item in the dryer that felt dry because of heat but didnt knowther is a wetter 2nd load put in the which made it anyway i think u get it . And of course it was the most chilliest wind on the day i pulled out my brand new well washed ounce jumper only to freeze to death in woolies. . Honestly ppl its qld jeans take 25mins to dry on the line so mt g com center i thank you so much for you help and i know youbmay think im talking hamns here im not its the money these place get and dont properly design things to work in an efficient maner which is what im great at and am tring to make a business out of . You guys are dgreat its just the donated money and gov incentive could be spe t in a way that its like a well oiled machine and a zytem using txt booking the laundry . But id get rid of the dryer or if you like i can do the work for you to make and exhaust so it runs smoothly as if keeps being miss used it wont last long b4 u need a new one and thats just wast . Please let me help you get the best out of your next purchases. Also while ppl are waiting for laundry its harz for me to sit in a car in the sun witha cat with this liver playing up and dont see why i have to have someone glued to my hip watching me unpack machine etc it is really annoying being treated like a thief. Im not homless because im a criminal im homless because i put my fate in my mothers hands again sfter 8 yrs . I changed 4 the better but she the same gaslighting husband killing hearless spider
