Receptionist was beautiful very accommodating. I turned up just after closing found a price on what if. Charged that price no problems, place was lovely maintained. Unfortunately the room I had leaked condensation all over the bed from ceiling and there was a very strong ammonia smell in bathroom. Advised reception in the morning and was apologetic. Advised she would have changed my room had I of called her.

If you're a cockroach, Motel Nomad might just be the perfect place for you! Unfortunately, for humans, it's a completely different story.||While the price is reasonable and the shower works well, the room was crawling with small cockroaches, making it feel dirty and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, we had to ask for basic supplies like milk, tea bags, and coffee every single day—something that should be standard in any accommodation.||The atmosphere was far from welcoming, with loud fights and arguments breaking out in the middle of the night and early mornings. We felt unsafe the entire time and couldn’t wait to leave.||Unless you're a fan of insects and chaos, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a place to stay.

The lady on the front desk was absolutely amazing, the only problem was the cleaning of the rooms clearly wasn’t done properly, not at all managements fault but something they need to speak to their cleaners about!

We booked this motel and room descriptions did not match the actual rooms. One of the receptionists did not agree with it and tried to convince us that it was our fault. However, we had to wait for nearly 4 months to get the full refund from the travel agent from whom we booked this place, this was frustrating. One room was not cleaned at all after the previous occupants, inefficient service. Tea cups were used and left without cleaning! Rooms smelt and looked old and dirty. Rooms were very old and definitely need renovation. We did not expect a lot when we booked a motel for our Cairns holiday, but this was not even reasonably clean.

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. DEFINITELY WOULDN'T STAY THERE AGAIN. The tarrif charged was $140 per night. They claim a 3 to 4 star rating but this is TOTAL RUBBISH. It is places like this that give genuine accommodation in Cairns a bad name. The place looked great from the outside however upon obtaining the key and making my way to the room the real picture emerged. It became quite clear that this place relies primarily on supplying emergency accommodation. The general appearance of the room I was given was very dated, generally grubby and numerous faults which would not have taken a lot of TLC to overcome appeared to be totally ignored. Noisy other residents were evident all night, empty beer cans were left lying around in various places, external ash trays were not emptied. I stayed one night and then went elsewhere. When returning the key on checkout the advertised reception time was 9am but at 9.30am it was still not open. I managed to call an after hours number and someone came and opened up. I presented the lady with a list of failings but the impression given was that of "Tell someone who cares".
