During my stay, there were a few disappointing experiences.

1. First, even though I selected the "pay at property" option, the payment was withdrawn from my account 2-3 days before my stay without any prior notice.
Additionally, the amount charged was $5 higher than the original booking price, and upon checking, I noticed a credit card surcharge had been added without my consent. I wouldn't have minded paying in advance, but I wish this had been clearly communicated to me beforehand.

2. Second, the walls of the room were incredibly thin, and I could hear everything from the surrounding rooms.
Conversations, toilet noises, and other sounds felt as if they were coming from within my own room, which was very unsettling.

3. Lastly, after checking out, I noticed another charge had been made without any explanation. When I inquired, the hotel claimed that drinks were missing from the fridge. However, we had already purchased our own water in advance and did not take anything. Despite explaining this, I was not given a refund.
While the room itself was very clean and comfortable, I was quite disappointed with my experience, especially since I had been looking forward to my stay based on the positive reviews.

I had an excellent stay! This was my second stay here for a work trip, and both visits were fantastic. The place is spotless, the bed is super comfortable, and the soft linen was a nice touch. The manager was wonderful and generously let me check in early. I’d definitely stay here again! Also walking distance to town and beach.

I really liked staying here, loved the fact that it was organic bedding, products and towels, lovely styling and very spacious room. I also loved that there was a wide assortment in the bar fridge. The fact that they had a Google TV was fantastic and easy to sign into and use our own streaming platforms. Loved the little set up outside our room, and the smart lock is a lovely touch, easy to use and very secure. There were a couple of complaints, our bath mat had a large hole ripped into it. The coffee pod machine (which we didn’t use) was leaking into the cupboard. The shower drips a little bit if you don’t adjust it back to the perfect level. You can hear a fair bit of street noise and noise from the room above (if you are on ground level). The light pollution from the room is a little irritating if you don’t use a sleep mask, because even when the blind is fully lowered, you can’t turn the outside light off, so it shines through the edge of the blind. The pillows were probably the biggest complaint, the bed was SUPER comfortable and amazing size (Super King), but the pillows were far to filled with feathers and high profile that we could not use them to sleep on, so we ended up sleeping without pillows and occasionally using the decorative pillows to sleep on also. The location of the motel was ideal and very short walk to the local shops and beautiful beach. Overall would happily stay here again!

We recently stayed at Motel Caloundra and was really impressed by how convenient everything was especially the self check-in process. It was seamless and easy to use, which made my arrival stress-free. The instructions were clear, and within minutes, I was in my room without any hassle.

The room itself was spotless and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay, including free Wi-Fi and a super comfy bed. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the beach, shops, and restaurants, so I had plenty to explore during my stay.

What I loved most was how quiet and peaceful it was at night, making it easy to unwind and get a good night's sleep. The convenience of self check-in combined with the great location and affordable rates make Motel Caloundra an excellent choice for anyone visiting the area.

We will definitely be staying here next time we're in Caloundra!

What a peaceful rest we needed and had! Renovated and smart, handy to restaurants. Try the India Today, upstairs but glorious food. Smooth late check in. Very glad we stayed here. Thanks for the break.

Super easy self check in experience. We didn’t really need service but I’m sure it would have been in line with our experience had we needed it. Really reasonably priced for the very nice rooms - better than what we expected for a motel. Can’t speak too much to location as we arrived late and left early on our way back home down the coast but husband picked up dinner from just down the road so there’s certainly amenities nearby. Would definitely recommend! Just make sure you have an allocated parking spot or get there early enough to take one of the vacant/non reserved ones.
