There was no one at reception at anytime during our stay. You had to keep calling the phone number on the wall outside if you had a query.|Our room had a small kitchen but nowhere to sit and eat. There were no chairs, only a stool which had broken supports. The overhead fan had a blade missing and the sliding door to the bathroom had no guide to keep it in place. It’s an old unit and hasn’t been maintained well. When we tried to shower we found there was no hot water and when I rang the owner she blamed us for emptying the tank. I asked for a refund she refused and was rude. She takes your money straight away when you book so be warned and don’t stay there.

So we stayed outve a quick get away decision and stumbled across this place online barely looking at photos so it was my fault for not seeing that it was right next to a cemetery, regardless of that questionable location choice that was the least of the worries once we got there.
The rooms ask of you to wash your own dishes(never been asked this of accommodation before) we only used 2 cups and in needing to do that had to wash them out before even using them.
The water heater for the shower in room 17 gave out in about 5 minutes after spraying boiling hot water in my face turning it on
There were bugs in the room
The positioning of the tv was odd and off to the side of the room leaving blank weird space in front of the bed
There was no garbage bin in the whole room
The outdoor cooking area?
BBQ didn’t work with its clicker had to light a stick on fire and ignite it.
There was clothing hanging infront of the bbq had to move it in order to cook
There were bugs all over the cooking area
All bbq equipment hidden and tucked away without any signs.

If your after a cheap place and have extremely low standards, don’t want to shower or cook this is your place

The room was spotless and bed was comfy. Lovely big bathroom which appeared newly renovated. For what we paid, it was great. The staff went out of their way to accommodate an early check in for us. ||Overall, perfect for a quick and cheap stay.

What a disappointment after being told by family how great this place was. I wish I would have read the reviews before going. But since a family member had been going for years, we took their word for it. The place was absolutely filthy, had to dust the whole room ourselves. Bugs were all through the room, ants covered the complimentary coffee and sugars. Had to clean out the kitchen cupboards as they had filthy mugs inside. The sheets were an off white colour as they hadn’t been cleaned properly. Tv constantly cut out, owner was giving an excuse that it is the area. No where near worth for what they are charging, unless you like cleaning up on your own holiday. Owner/manager never at reception & laundry never open. To top it off, I got bitten by a bull ant about twice inches in size inside the unit. Only positive was the amazing hot water in the shower.

The room was tidy, though for $350 a night, I would expect more. No shampoo or toiletries supplied. Had to borrow a spoon and glasses from a neighbouring room. ||Only 2 teabags supplied for a 3 day weekend booking. The staff were helpful and nice over the phone, as nobody was there on arrival., even though check in was at 1pm and we got there just after 2pm

Tidy rooms, no sharp knives, no shampoo or conditioner, minimal towels, felt like intruders.

Nice spot, lovely bathroom but dirty cabinet faces, stove etc. Note that we had to wash our own dishes as this is not included in the fee. Rude.

Do not stay here. It's dirty, disappointing and we felt ripped off. The place should not be over $180/night. This is a $120/night place at the most, if you are OK with a dirty place.||||I travel a lot for work so I stay in many different places. Never have a stayed in a place like this, plus paid $180/night for it.||||I have nothing against accommodation that is on the old side, but if it's old, dirty, things don't work, you have paid more for it compared the place down the road, that's closer to the beach and that is clean and new, then I have a problem with it.||||I took photo's so you can decide for yourself. There was sand on the floor in the bathroom, spiders and webs around the place, dirty tea cups (I didn't even check the other dishes - felt completely disgusted and didn't even end up making any tea), plus the freezer was disgusting inside. The bedside table was broken off the headboard, the lock of the sliding door to the balcony ended up in our hands because it was also broken, plus the shower door only closed two-thirds of the way. You only get one towel to shower with, no face towels or hand towels. On top of that only one tiny bar of hand soap. You don't get Shampoo, Conditioner or Body Wash.||||And the cherry on the cake was the itching we had to endure after going to bed, from something biting us. So much so that at midnight we considered leaving and driving back to Sydney. The only reason that we stayed was because we felt it would be unsafe at that time of night, with all the Kangaroos from the Jervis Bay National Park.||||We will not stay there ever again.

More of a 3.5 star. For it’s price range, location (besides the cemetery), ease of booking and comfort.
At first I was super worried as some of the reviews on here are super harsh - maybe it’s changed since then though?
Our room was clean and fresh with white and modern decor. Organising keys late at night was easy and host was contactable. Some things were outdated like the signage, tv and old phones but we actually thought that was cute - a retro or vintage charm (the sign at front claims coloured tv is available) please keep that sign up ?
The only thing that was a bit freaky was the cemetery next to the place at first as I’m a little superstitious but after settling in it really didn’t bother me. Fair price for a fair comfy family stay (2 adults with toddler)
