Was originally booked for 3, extended to 6 because of the fantastic location, great room & the beautiful family who run it.
Michelle & her hubby & son were always happy to help & offer suggestions.
Then there was the cute Honey (Michelle's furbaby) who was always happy to engage with the guests for a cuddle.
Can't recommend the Ocean View enough, will definitely be back on my return trip.

As someone who was freaked out by the reviews after booking the room I can definitely say the reviews here are not representative of the motel at all. The staff are nice, the prices are more than affordable, and the majority of the rules aren’t that relevant for most people. Are these the best rooms? Probably not but if you’re looking for a motel in the first place then there’s not much to complain here.

Well past its best in terms of rooms. My sheets were definetely not changed or fresh slept on top of the bed. The whole place looks ready to be knocked down Not changed since 70s. Bit of a halfway house in my opinion. Difficult business and i blame the reviews for misleading people rather than the owners

The staff have been extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating. Rooms are well kept, clean and cozy. Beautiful ocean view from our room. Lovely place to stay, was greeted by an extremely kind lady upon arrival, who was more than happy to help us with anything we required. Will definitely be coming back.

You refused to let me interstate driver in after i had paid for the room in full because he was arriving at 9pm what kind of motel is this? Absolute joke. Worst service ive ever seen avoid at all cost

When entering the drive way was blown away by all the signage, far too many to process when driving into a new place, however we managed to. See a sample of the signage outside the reception.
They must be there as there has been issues in the past.

I’m glad we noted the check in times only between 3-6 which is unusual. Many other places will simply leave a key. Or many these days have electronic key pads.
Can see not much upgrade to be done looks like it’s slated to be torn down and turned into houses by their own sign hung on the drained and closed pool.

The staff were friendly. And the rooms clean.
A short walk to the beach and many food options.

Also a snap of the house rules. I.e take your own rubbish out .

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY

I am utterly shocked at how rude and unprofessional these owners are.

Upon check in the receptionist “needed” to take a photo of my license/write down ALL the details of it, which I was uncomfortable with, the lady at reception went off unnecessarily claiming the “police required it” and that “we wont be staying in any other motels again because it is a requirement everywhere”. I have stayed in countless motels around Australia and I can assure you that no where else have they insisted that they record all details on my licence. I searched online and through the guest book and all I found was that guests must ‘present’ id upon request which I happily complied with, no where does it say they need to record the details on my id.

After her and (im assuming) her husband verbally abused us I asked for a refund (of $400) which she refused to give us.

After the two of them showed us our room and condescendingly explained how the door locked I smelt the stench of alcohol on the male owners breath.

While unpacking our car we spoke to the guests staying above us who had also had a terrible experience while checking in.

The guest book in the room was full of outdated information such as a complimentary wifi password that didn’t work on any available networks, and an extensive list of rules that I have never seen at another motel, INCLUDING taking your OWN rubbish out of the room, which I refuse to do when I am paying $200 per night.

The sheets are polyester which make for an incredibly uncomfortable sleep.

The owners refuse refunds regardless of the amount of notice you give.

Opening hours are between 3-6pm, so if you have to checkin late you will pay a $75 call out fee even though the owners live on site.

The owners responses to negative comments are honestly hilarious and just show how obnoxious and immature they are, and I am interested to see how they twist my story to make me sound like a bad guest.

I am very disappointed that I have wasted so much money on this terrible motel, Mollymook has so many better accommodation options and I would recommend staying anywhere else!
