I have been parking my car down the road from Moka for 6 months now , so the other day I wanted something to eat and I thought I'll check these guys out surely they can't be any worse than the other takeaways around Sommersby. These guys are awesome, friendly and polite which if you know the coast it's a rarity. We exchanged niceties and talked about their pies and how they make them onsite (another rarity) so I had to try the brisket, cheese and bacon. I know you can't get excited about a pie but this one was quite simply, amazing, full of brisket not just a s*#t load of cravy. I know there are other pies that people claim are awesome but I've tried lots on the coast and nothing comes close. Now i'm thinking why did I wait 6 months to try these guys. My search for the best pie was literally just where I work.
The reason I gave them 4 stars for food is because I haven't really tried there other items, but their pies are 5+ stars and for what you get compared to the rubbish you pay at other places they are value for money. I will be back to try their burgers but they definitely got me hooked with their pies

On Google maps, the location isn't correct. Follow google maps and you'll think Moka Pot is in the middle of a construction site (March 2025). Just keep going up the street and you'll see the yellow signage on the corner. 🙂

It's a new cafe that is reasonably priced, probably best suited for local tradies. You could get a coffee and Bacon and Egg roll for about $16. I had a slice of cheesecake which was quite cheap and tasty but a little grainy, and my friend said 9/10 for the fish and chips.

Coffee was unfortunately nothing special, about the same as McCafe and other cafes around the central coast. My friend said the Summer Mango smoothie needed more mango. They've only been open a couple of months, I will be back to try again and maybe taste test the big breakfast. They could use some decorations inside and plants outside to make it a bit more inviting.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pies are homemade which is a rarity these days.

All in all, it's not a place for latte art but decent food for the price. Thanks guys, will be back again!

Without doubt the best casual dining in Somersby bar none ...and up there with the best pies on the coast ... The pies are worth the trip alone ...and the breakfast pie is the bomb !

Stopped for a coffee on a road trip but ended up trying two of the beef brisket pies after speaking to such friendly staff. I’m not kidding when I say they were the best pies we’ve ever eaten!! 🥧

I want food to "Gimme more" and when I find amazing food "I'm not that innocent" (apologies to Britney Spears 🤦) no sharing unless it's family 😆

When I came here yesterday around 1pm they told me they sold out all the pies. I met Keith the chef. However I managed to preorder 2 pies for today. Keith kept me in the loop via SMS this morning when the pies would be ready. Fantastic local service.😊🙏🍻

So when I was told they had a new lamb pie for winter just premiered a week or 2 ago. I had to try.

I was informed they have been nominated for Australia's best pies and they have had people coming from Sydney Hornsby to try their pies. Incredible 😍😊

As I rock up this morning, I could smell 👃 the aroma from the car park. Incredible... I hadn't had breakfast 🍳 this morning to save myself to eat these amazing pies for brunch.

Straight out of the oven hot and fresh. The juicy extremely soft meat and gravy are perfectly balanced. Keith has made the ⚖️ balance spot on.
Lamb 🐑 pie over 400gm in size feels like 10cm tall. I take a bite and it's Extremely soft and tender. The meat just oozes out of the pie 🥧 after I cut it. Wow. The smell is amazing from the slow cook..
