Follow me @newyfoodyplaces on instagram- My dear friends family run this super cute coffee space on Gipps St, Carrington! They serve really yummy coffee, pastries, loaded toasties, acai bowls, fresh baked goods and much more. The staff are super friendly and always smiling! It's a wonderful space to come in, catch up with friends, sit alone or use your laptop (free wifi) during the week/weekends and chill with a coffee and yummy toasty.
Also on the weekends there's Johnsons Farmgate which the freshest fruit and veg in Newcastle and it is available every weekend

M.O.A. Is that fresh breeze of fresh air you look forward on summer when it’s all hot, sticky and annoying. It’s like the waves in the ocean that come and go, that wash away whatever bad is happening on your day and makes better whatever is going good because you get to share it with the sisters. I think the fact it’s owned by them and they are often there adds on that homely feeling. Anyone can open a shop, but few are the ones who can make it feel like home, like a warm blankie on winter or the first ocean bath on summer. I honestly can describe the impact I see them having in the community or even in my life as food and hot drinks are my love language. I really hope the community can appreciate that and support them for a long time going!

Great coffee, good vibe and love that dogs are allowed there BUT there needs to be a line drawn somewhere. There are dogs in the main ordering area right next to fresh produce and bread, which kind of turned me off ordering food when I saw a dog shake its coat by the produce. Maybe dogs in the outdoor seating area only could make it a bit more hygienic?

Love this place, best cafe in Newcastle. Such a unique vibe, and good service + coffee. There’s always fresh produce markets on the weekends (would recommend the tea gardens kombucha) and other fun events being organised by MOA. Love everything about this place

The coffee is good, the food is limited but decent.
Nice spot!

Weird gripe though: the stools next to some of the tables are way too tall and it’s kinda awkward to sit there hahah. Not important but it comes to mind ‍♀️
