Misty View Cottages is one of our favorite destinations to go as a couple. We love it here so much, that we celebrate our wedding anniversary every year in the Lalique Cottage. It has everything we need to spend a few days together in the beautiful hinterland - and it is so peaceful! The cottage has a very well equipped kitchen, a stunning four poster bed, a comfy loungeroom and our fave - the deck, pool and sunbed.

We had an amazing 2 days here celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. It was so peaceful after a hectic Christmas. Loved just chilling on the daybed reading and dipping into the pool. Yummy warm croissants were left at the door each morning for breakfast, nice fresh loaf of bread along with items to cook for breakfast. Thanks for an amazing stay, look forward to going back one day.

Our two-night stay at ‘The Charleston’ cottage at Montville Misty View Cottages couldn’t be faulted. It really was the ultimate getaway and so easy to travel to from where we live on the Sunshine Coast. Shell, Tony and Luca were magnificent hosts. Once settled in, we felt like we were the only people in the world!||My husband and I opted for the ‘Indulgence Package’, including a bottle of wine, fabulous and plentiful breakfast provisions for two days, a delicious Reef and Beef Dinner on one night with all elements of the meal ready for us in the Cottage, plus complimentary chocolate and port. The couples massage in our room was also amazing and we both felt like we were floating on air afterwards. ||We really didn’t need to leave our Cottage the whole time we were there, but we took a five-minute drive into the valley to see up close the beautiful Baroon Pocket Dam that our Cottage looked out over. The lush and diverse vegetation that surrounded us at the Cottage provided amazing privacy, quiet and a beautiful outlook over the bush, hills and the Dam/Lake.||The Cottage was so comfortable and very tastefully appointed and had everything we could need or want during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Misty View Cottages and the ‘misty view’ is a real thing! Light rain during our stay only added to the ambience as we watched the mist rise and fall over the dam and valley across the three days. We even got the chance to light a fire in the wood fireplace and enjoyed even more charm in our little paradise get-a-way!

What an amazing place, from the minute I walked into reception and was greeted by an amazing and friendly owner we knew this was the place for us. The Gatsby cottage was extremely clean and presentable, heaps of additional extras were at our fingertips in case we needed them. The view from the veranda was stunning and was the perfect location for a cheese plater and drink or two. It is so quiet here you just feel like you are on your own. The location is perfect with just a short drive into Montville. We have been coming to this area for years but have not found a place that exceeded all our expectations such as this. Well done to the amazing owners and staff who obviously take pride in their work. 10/10 we will be back.....

Plush towels and high quality bathroom lotions.
Comfortable bed and the gourmet breakfasts and croissants were delicious.
The pool was so refreshing on these humid days.

Our stay at Misty View Cottages (PONTI) was amazing—definitely one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The spa pool was spotless, and we loved that we could adjust the temperature for both the hot days and cooler nights. It was the perfect way to unwind. The cottage itself was so thoughtfully designed—everything from the comfy linens to the soft robes made it feel super cozy and special. It felt like every little detail had been taken care of, making our stay so comfortable.

We arrived to a bottle of the owners favourite wine, and also a charcuterie board that really got us into the getaway spirit!
The breakfast hamper was a real treat! The field mushrooms were the biggest I’ve ever seen, and the eggs and bacon were fresh and delicious. And the hot croissants delivered every morning quickly became something we looked forward to each day. The BBQ easy, clean and an amazing way to cook while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

I need to give a moment for the landscaping - Not something I it's clear so much thought and care has gone into planting so many native plants. There was so many birds and wildlife enjoying the property it was so nice to just watch nature!

The location is perfect, too—just a short drive from Montville, an abundance of bush walking tracks, and even a winery within walking distance! We also discovered several local restaurants with a free courtesy bus, which made exploring even easier after a wine or 2.

It was the perfect spot to celebrate my partner’s birthday and relax and recoup after a whirl wind year - and I’m so glad we found this place. We’ll definitely be back!

Suprise weekend away for my Birthday! My husband couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Having travelled a fair bit and accustomed to a 5-star romantic getaway from time to time, this place has to be one of the best we have ever experienced. The quality of Service, Accommodation, and attention to detail was exceptional. King Parrots visited us of a morning while we watched the mist clear for Lake Baroon. Being Coeliac was not an issue as the owners catered daily for my dietary needs. Apart from a magnificent, serene view, the cabin was immaculate. The owners had supplied us with complimentary bath salts, candles for the beautiful spa. Bath robes and slippers that we changed into and soon became the attire for the entire weekend. Gluten free muesli, bread, sausages, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms was a great meal to start the day alongside orange juice and coffee. At 8am every morning we received fresh Gluten Free Croissants which filled the cabin with such an aroma. The complimentary port set up with glasses was a beautiful touch while we sat by the fire with our happy hour platter we had bought with us. Once I set foot in this cabin, I did not want to leave. Fortunately, the owner's source and deliver platters for you to cook during your stay. We chose the Reef and Beef! 2 eye fillets, garlic prawns, and a Salad were delivered to us to enjoy. Pecan pie and cheesecake was the dessert of the day! Absolutely delicious. This cabin sits far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough (at the end of the street) is Montville cafe's shops and restaurants. Best of both worlds. I found the wine cellar at reception handy as we grabbed a bottle of port to take home with us. I can't wait to go back again one day. The cabin we stayed in was called the Savoy. You have to stay here; you will not regret it!

Michelle was an absolute pleasure to deal with before arriving. The accomodation was amazing, food provided was fresh, and excellent quality. Felt like we were miles away in our own little paradise. Highly recommend and would love to go again. Can't speak of Misty View Cottages highly enough.
