We recently hired out this venue for 3 days for our wedding.
We could not have asked for a better venue.

Plenty of clean accommodation for everyone as well as plenty of room for caravans and camping.
Kitchen facility has all the appliances needed except a kettle and toaster.

We had hired a jumping castle for the kids, swimming pool and hall easily fit our 130 guest.

Only downside - if it is summer take into account how hot the hall will be late afternoon.

Communication was perfect. All questions leading up were answered quickly.

Had my wedding at Minden retreat just recently and it is a beautiful venue with amazing potential however I was quiet disappointed with some aspects with the venue
1. The bunkhouses don’t have linen included which was an extra added stress I didn’t need as I had to go and buy sheets, blankets, pillows and pillow cases for my guests staying which was 20 people, the venue sleeps up to 100 so not having linen provided or even a hire company available to get linen is just ridiculous
2. The “commercial” kitchen does not have any crockery, plates, cups or any cutlery not even a spoon or knife and to me this is also quite ridiculous to have a commercial kitchen but nothing in it not even a microwave
3. The grounds were not as clean as they should of been for a wedding, the pool was completely locked so we paid for the whole venue when we couldn’t even access the whole venue, their first aid kit is not properly stocked we got a bandage out of the first aid kit for a guest and it discinigrated into dust
This venue has a lot of potential if the time and the money is put into it
It’s a beautiful area in a great location however the venue does need to be updated and needs work

I love the venue for my wedding day, but as for the motel rooms , I was very disappointed to be told by my guest there was no soap in their rooms for their showers, the dorm rooms smelt and all doors and windows had to be opened to air them out. We had no spare toilet paper in the womens toilets, which guests was very upset about as well. So if you decide to use this venue for your wedding or any party please make sure you check about soap in motel rooms toilet paper and that dorms dont smell. Swimming pool was also dirty unswimable, which was very disappointing too.

Relaxing retreat where we were able to experience our event to the fullest by being able to have choice in type of accommodation from camping through to motel. Cooking could be done on a contained wood fire, camp stove or in the comforts of a shared kitchen with the appliances ready waiting and a big walk in cold room
