Excellent setting for a relaxing weekend. Set in a delightful vineyard with lovely views. The accommodation is warm and has a country cottage feel. There is a nice pool and plenty of seating in nice locations in the well maintained gardens. You’ll see the ranges in the background and be able to watch the kangaroos, birds and rabbits hopping around. We attended the cellar door and the owner and host is a great source of information about winemaking. A short drive to all the vineyards. You won’t be disappointed with this location.

We had an amazing time staying at Villa Janji! It's a great place to relax and unwind. The villa, with it's decor and peaceful ambiance, truely does make you feel as though you are in a resort in Bali. Highly recommend staying here if you need a romantic getaway that's not very far from Sydney.

I booked Villa Janji for a relaxing romantic weekend away with my gorgeous girlfriend and was so over the moon on arrival that we cracked out the cheese platter and wine on the deck and I popped the question straight away. |She said yes|We then enjoyed the rest of our weekend as a newly engaged couple. |Highly recommend the additional packages that are available. |Dinner at Lillino’s just down the road was amazing. |The estate is beautiful to just stroll around and enjoy the peacefulness, the horses next are so friendly.

A lovely cottage 'Promise 1'at Midnight's Promise. Secluded but close to everything. We enjoyed our stay with our 3 boys.||Fresh made croissants for breakfast (yum) plus a selection of 4 wines from the vineyard to sample. The shiraz was top notch, still have to try the others.||The resident magpie Stumpy. He would fly up in the morning to say hi and if you went outside he was there to greet you. The boys loved seeing him everyday, and would take him treats. ||The beds were comfortable, the fire kept everyone warm and the vineyard was wonderful. We strolled around and checked out the wildlife and property. Didnt have time to fire up the pizza oven, but will do so next time.|

My partner and I had an incredibly romantic getaway at Midnight's Promise. The accommodation was beautiful, with fantastic views and great privacy. Everything had been immaculately presented - the spa and plunge pool were lovely, the tasting wines and cheese board were fantastic, and the bed was comfortable. We can't wait to return!

We spent a weekend at Villa Janji and it was excellent - can't speak highly enough of it. Great location for visiting the vineyards; peaceful; good pool; 4 poster bed and all amenities you would want. Thank you Geoff and hope to be back soon

It might have been worth the hefty price tag 12 years ago when it was built but it's very clear (and ironic) no love has gone into Villa Janji since then.

Lots of things to improve on. TV really old and not a smart one, CD and DVD player only, no streaming/WiFi/Bluetooth enabled features. The information booklet recommended a restaurant that was closed down and had pages dated from 2010. 🤷‍♀️ Gas bottle was empty the first time we used it so had to go to town and swap it ourselves coz it was evening. BBQ is old and rusty. Kitchen was grubby. Had to ask for firewood. The jams provided were Beerenberg... which is in South Australia.. Or at your local supermarket... It's the Hunter Valley!! Where are the Hunter jams?! 😂 The sparkling on arrival was produced overseas.. Again, there's so much local produce nearby. There are nice touches like the candles, incense and bath salts but for close to half a grand a night, the expectations are higher.

Geoff is a lovely guy but clearly nobody has given the owner(s) some honest and constructive feedback. Ultimately we felt a little ripped off. 🥺

Until Midnight's Promise picks up their game, save your money and stay elsewhere in the Hunter.
