They should write poetry about the pies at Merriwa Bakery.

No foil = solid base that you could one hand if you felt the need ... But you probably won't because they're big enough to double fist.

Flaky crispy pastry makes for a delightful bite, with the pie holding together until the last one.

The filling is packed to the top, with a great taste and decent size chunks without being dominant.

I devoured the Cheese & Bacon and the Mint Lamb. Both superb pies. Mint flavour in the lamb was delightful and subtle, without overpowering the pie ... A hard combo to get right but they nailed it.

No idea what they cost but I got two pies, two sauces, a Pump water and a Large coffee with an extra shot all for $23. Happy with that!

Yes they have a toilet. Nothing fancy but does the job.

Yes they sell coffee.... But it's average. I'd probably stick to the pies and cakes.

Yes there is easy parking out the front.

Highly recommended a visit to Merriwa Bakery.
We planned a stop for the pies, which were so good, with a nice slightly crunchy pastry and full of flavour. We also walked out with Vanilla slice, Caramel slice and Macadamia slice which were just as delicious.
One of the best Vanilla slices and pies we have tried.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. The prices were really good too.
It can be a little busy, but it's worth the visit!
We dropped in on our way home and it was just as good!

My partner and I travel through Merriwa each fortnight on a Friday on our way to the Coast and we have stopped here a handful of times and every time the food has been delicious!
The curry lamb pies are sensational and my favourite.
Today I changed it up a bit and ordered the cheese and bacon pie and honestly it’s just as good.
The spinach and cheese pasties are a hit too!
Yum, would recommend this bakery to anyone travelling through and passing by.

Exceptional pies, our favourite is the lamb and mint. Amazing service as well, never forget to go past Merriwa for the bakery when we head up. If you have not tried these pies that's honestly sad. Fresh and flakey pies made same day you can taste the quality. You need to try these best pies ever.

OMG - probably the best meat pie I’ve ever had. I think it was called Chunky Pepper Beef. Tender beef perfectly cooked in the most divine flaky pastry. Evidently the recipe is a family secret that even the staff don’t know. Just as well I live a long way away - I’d be a VERY regular customer! ?
