We stayed for five nights in a spacious, clean, and well-maintained suite. Our room had a stunning sea view, which we enjoyed from the window. Room service was provided every three days, but guests could request any necessities from the reception, and they would be delivered promptly. Location is also great. Nearby to public transport and some nice restaurants around.

A great place to stay! We have stayed a few times now. It is a great location for where we need and the views are great. Lovely self contained unit with plenty of space for the 2 of us. Would highly recommend a stay here. From booking to check in to check out it was all easy and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We had an unforgettable and beautiful 5-day stay at this hotel. The staff were kind, the view was stunning, and the suite was spotless. I even left my hairdryer behind, but they quickly mailed it back to me with perfect packaging. I wanted to share my wonderful experience and highly recommend this amazing hotel. About the room with cockroaches.

From the first night, our vacation became the worst. We came to vacation expecting a good view from the balcony, but on the first night, we found disgusting cockroaches of the size we had never seen before crawling in and out through the holes on the balcony.

The staff came to help and sprayed it, but it didn't kill it for more than a minute. After that, we couldn't open the balcony window or enjoy the beautiful night view. The next day, I went to a big mart and bought a strong spray and sprayed it, and the next morning, I found the cockroaches dead.

When I asked to speak to the manager at the front desk, the female manager looked at me with a very unfriendly expression, saying that she was the manager. I told her that I had a plan and would send an email, and we exchanged emails about this situation.

It seemed like they just wanted to get this over with, and that attitude just made me feel worse.

After 4 days of strong spraying day and night, I couldn't find dead cockroaches. so I asked for proper compensation for the 4 days we missed (I wanted to ask for a full refund, but I didn't), but they said they couldn't accept my request, and that they wouldn't charge me for the amount I'd paid so far, so I just had to check out early. I was so angry when they told me to go out into the street right away when I was here to enjoy my vacation with my kids and mom.
That's why I'm writing this long review because I want to tell anyone who dispises cockroaches to never come here, regardless of compensation or anything. also not to expect anything because the front desk's response would be unpleasant.
I still have to stay here for a few more days, but I absolutely don't want to come back!!!!

This is a very, very good resort hotel. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and warm. The swimming pool is very clean and sanitary. My wife and I like it very much. There is a big supermarket, Japanese, Thai, Turkish and bar downstairs. It's great, thank you.

My wife and I came here for holiday as it was my wife's birthday. We have been to Meriton Southport several years ago and this time was probably the best due to the room that we chose AND plus the service from the reception that we got from check in to check out, especially the lady named Amy who was very polite and welcoming and as promised, I said I would give a compliment to her. We were also surprised that we got champagne when we entered the room which was a nice touch! It was a very nice relaxing stay. We will come back again and recommend to all others to stay so thank you for everything again!

Ready enjoyed this hotel, very nice from entry to rooms and then rooms were lovely. We were in 2505, beware of the giant step to get from inside to outside onto balcony. Once there though, views were amazing during the day and evening. The bed though, omg, terrible it was so hard. We were so sad about this as the getaway was to rest and relax. We couldn't even sleep in let alone get a good night's sleep. Husband ended up sleeping on the couch instead while I tossed and turned in bed.
Overall the hotel was great. Shops below very convenient and location to everything was great. Enjoyed it a lot but please, a softer bed would've easily driven 5 stars.
Ratings, 4 because of the hard bed and 4 for customer service because she was a little spicy when I entered. She greeted me with "can I help you" as if I walked I to the wrong place with a suitcase rather than a welcoming tone of "welcome to the Meriton". However, she warmed up before the experience was over and by the time she handed me the keys we were both smiling.

Very comfy mini-suite with stunning views. The location was central with easy access to the locations we were visiting. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ran out of towels for the pool but we were helped with a smile at reception. Good parking in the basement. Nice restaurants nearby and a metro Woolies downstairs.
