My mate and I stayed here back in early November for a one night pre holiday hotel night as our flight to Japan left relatively early the following morning.

The location was perfect for us as it was < 5 min walk from Roma St station where we took the Airtrain to the international terminal in the morning. Also very close to the Queen St precinct with many restaurants and shops. We stayed in one of the Two Bedroom Altitude suites with our rooms view facing the east. The view was fantastic, we could see all the way out to the gateway bridge, airport and the port of Brisbane. Beds were comfy and lounge room and kitchen was very spacious. We booked about three months in advance meaning the price we got for this room was almost too good to be true, only about $20 more (at the time of booking) than the regular two bedroom apartments dozens of floors below. So book as far in advance as you can as I watched the price go up and up nearing the date of our stay. Overall, although we were only there for one night, we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again if the price is right. Cheers Meriton

Awesome views of city from up top. Floor to ceiling windows. Close to Queens St Mall district. 10 min walk. Also very walkable to South Bank. Easy access to North quay for the ferry as well. Suite is clean and spacious.

Top notch apartments wry convenient to Roma street station. We had a luxury 1 bed which was a 2 bed locked off, very spacious and quality The cleanliness was superb! Well done housekeeping!! |Beautiful views of the river and south bank. Fully equipped kitchen made cooking easy, We asked for several items eg pillows and help with tv, safe, and the prompt courteous service from staff was the best we have ever encounter in a hotel. The lifts (elevators) were also superb, quick and you tapped your card and it told you which one to get into, almost never anyone else in with you. Fantastic! ||The only negative comments we have is the noise from outside. The huge windows are not double glazed and noise started from the building work opposite from around 05.30am. Plus sirens and traffic noise good job we travel with earplugs. Also the main foyer reception is a bit of a mess, guess they’re refurbishing it, but not a good look first impression. Maybe a sign to apologise for the disarray would be nice. ||Otherwise we had a superb stay and highly recommend meriton. We’re staying in a Sydney one next month so hope it’s as good as this one!

Terrible Experience at Meriton - Would Not Recommend

We recently booked a room at Meriton for $420/night, expecting a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Instead, we were given a room on Level 1, right by the pool. The room had a smell of chlorine, and the noise from the pool’s pump was very loud.

To make matters worse, the room had serious safety issues: the toilet flush system was broken and hanging out with exposed electrical wires, and the floor drain was open. It was not safe, especially in a room where water is used frequently.

The reception staff was unhelpful and unfriendly, making no effort to address our concerns. we asked to change rooms for the same price, but they claimed there were no available rooms at our rate and refused to upgrade us.
We ended up leaving to find a new hotel at 7 p.m. on a Saturday night, which was incredibly inconvenient and disappointing.

Meriton advertises itself as a high-quality, luxurious hotel, but our experience was far from it. For a hotel claiming luxury standards, this was a complete letdown, and I would not recommend it.

Had two short stays here during our long trip touring Australia. Fabulous modern apartments - clean, large and with everything you'd need in terms of facilities. Very comfortable beds with good linen, well equipped kitchen and bathroom and good wifi. Location is also good - relatively quiet but not far from anything - plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping close by plus tram stops, railway station etc. Reception staff were consistently excellent. We had an issue with our washing machine leaking - advised reception as we went out for a while, by the time we came back there was a new one installed. Only slight negative is the gym which is tiny and poorly equipped for a building of this size (go and walk/run by the river instead - much nicer !). Highly recommended

Great rooms at a very reasonable price. Can't fault the rooms. Only gripe might be that there was a small rise on entry to the bathroom that I kept forgetting about, so stubbed my toe regularly - my fault. Helpful staff. Good spa and swimming pool

The location is good. Plenty of food and transport options surrounding the building. The check-in was friendly, and very efficient.

The room was clean, and spacious, but that's about it. The bed felt like two smaller beds pushed together to make a "king size". There was a hard ridge in the middle, and the mattress was like a slab of marble. Worst night's sleep possible. The coffee machine was inoperable, and the TV kept turning on randomly throughout the night.

Would not stay here again.

We were leaving from the bus terminal (the other side of Roma Street station), in the morning. was recommended to go to the Meriton Suites for the night before, they are excellent apartments, and next time we are going to Brisbane we will stay there, They have everything that you need. Unfortunately 3pm check in time is unfortunate. Could not fault room or reception staff. Catching the train from the Gold Coast, getting off at Roma street. So convenient.
