Spent a week here and absolutely loved it. We stayed in an apartment with private pool access. Apartment was spotless, comfortable and had everything you needed. Great location with a short 10 min walk to pubs and restaurants. Full reception service with helpful, friendly staff. Will definitely be back

We really enjoyed our stay at the Meridian. It is only a block away from the beach and main strip. The staff were friendly and our check in was seamless. We had our own private deck that led out to the beautiful lagoon pool however the trade off is a smaller room. It is an adults only hotel hence great for couples seeking a quiet stay.

Great location with 5 minutes walk of main shopping and restaurant area. Very comfortable room with kitchen and large balcony. Lovely pool area in an inner courtyard. No restaurant which suited us. Washing machine and drier shared per two rooms in room lobby. Saw one review that said noise from road; not our experience; It was very quiet and its adult only. A overall chilled experience. Highly recommend!

Had a nice time at Port douglas and stayed at the Meridian. Rooms was a studio room that had bed, sink and microwave. Only suitable for toast and breakfast cereals. Rooms were clean and tidy and resort was in good order with some minor renovations going on. Pool was a little mirky but still an enjoyable swim and a really good size. I'd suggest managers spend a night in each room to see what would change the room to fully functional for a tourist out of town. I'm talking about soap holder, hand towel holder, room to put more than one tiny suitcase, suitable block out window covers and a matteress that was a little more supportive...yes like others have said it was WAY to soft. We never saw anyone execpt for checkin so no opportunity to give any feedback. Overall a good place to stay in a central location.

A comfortable resort with a lift access to all rooms providing excellent service. Close to the beach and the Marina we were also pleased to be in such close proximity to all those great Port Douglas restaurants. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed for our stay and the staff were happy to assist. We would happily stay again.

Just spent 10 nights here ||Pros:|Pool just lovely & a good size |Close to shops, beach etc |A lift, very handy with luggage |No kids if that’s important |Good underground car park ||Cons:|Being located at a busy T intersection,traffic noise was often an issue. Especially when trying to enjoy the day bed |Poor communication prior to arrival. I was told they could not guarantee the room outlook I had booked months earlier. I was told I would receive a call, but did not. This was upsetting! When I called back again 2 days later I was told all should be ok. |No water in the jug or ice cubes in fridge on arrival |Very dated apartment with no style at all. Very small bedroom with virtually no storage. Just one wardrobe with hot water service taking up half of it. |After 2 days we did discover a cupboard behind bathroom door.|Poor WiFi so we could not use foxtel etc|Our query was met with ‘yes the WiFi is poor here’|Smallest TV in bedroom located at ceiling height. Not that I really cared but what’s the point! |At $450 a night I felt we could have done better and is a reminder to do my homework more…

Pretty disappointing stay. The bed is like a sponge and the double bed is two singles stuck together which I fell down the gap in the middle of the night. I asked reception could I get my room cleaned after 3 days and they told me this would be a charged service. Security is poor at the property as the front door is left unlocked, and the lift doesn’t require access to get up in the lift or the stairs. All in all a disappointing stay. Would not stay again

Well furnished rooms and fully equipped kitchen, very quiet surroundings with a beautiful pool. Close to shops, restaurants and beach, staff were friendly and helpful.
