Stayed over the Christmas period. Very ‘token gesture’ decorations. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast on Boxing Day was very basic, limited choices and very average. I had some issues with the television that were not able to be rectified.
Overall a comfortable stay, but was very ‘ordinary’.

the staff at reception were friendly and checked us in quickly. the room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. i felt comfortable in the room overall, and do everytime i stay at mercure parramatta. my only dislike is the continental breakfast selection. there are limited options and overall it is not very enjoyable. apart from that everything was amazing.

Very pleasant stay. Great staff. Very good size room. Lovely pool and tenis court is a bonus. Really good location especially if you are going to Olympic Park or Rose Hill Race course.||||Hotel needs a refurb carpets are looking very sad and walls a new paint job. Our room did not have a chair for the desk top.

Room cost us $382 for one night. Motel was rated 4 stars. This room should be barely a 3 star.|* There was no telephone in the room. We needed to contact Reception on a number of occasions and had to use the lift. In total, 7 trips down the elevator to have things sorted for our stay.|* 3 people were booked for this hotel. Room only contained 2 cups, 2 towels, 2 glasses and 2 spoons. No other crockery or knives/forks. When we went to complain about the shortage, reception gave us the 3rd towel and said that the remaining items would be delivered to the room shortly. Hours later, they never arrived. Another trip to Reception.|* Room temperature was stifling and the aircon controls were locked and to be adjusted by the staff - another trip to Reception as there was not telephone in the room.|* No bottle opener. We went to reception (again) to obtain one and was told that they only had one for the entire motel and that they would need to accompany us back to the room to take it back after we had used it. When another bottle need to be opened, we had to take it down to Reception.|* Room door had paint peeling and scratches across it.|* Bathroom had no exhaust fan and the steam caused havoc. The 2nd and 3rd person had to leave the bathroom door open and hope that it did not set off the smoke alarm.

Downside:
Very poor service, not sufficient lighting in the rooms ( all very dark) , poor customer service whom didn't check the lights bulbs missing from lamps, safe locks were locked before our arrival.
Gym: absolutely basic with few weights and dumbells as well as old fashioned treadmill.
Upsides: large room, quality mattress

Well, i have stayed at this Hotel to many times to mention and i never would have rated this Hotel welll in the past.
I have seen several GM’s come through this place over the years.
Tonight i met the new GM ( Ricky) what a breath of fresh air with amazing experience in hospitality.
I have no doubt this lady is going to really make this place hum, her presence alone and personality in meeting and talking to customers is just lovely.
Then you have Anna upstairs dinning & Bar.
A lady who has more charisma than anyone i have met.
I seriously am looking forward to see this place go next level.
Do yourself a favour, try it

Will not stay here again, 6th floor passageway needs tidying up, chips and missing paint on all walls, room 612 door had paint chipped off the door the size of a 50c piece and dirty needs to be closed off and given a thorough maintenance check/repairs, remove all the mould from in the bathroom floors and wall, vanity basin tape are loose, 2 old brackets behind the bathroom door needs to be removed, housekeeping needs to be more thorough and write up reports of issues to be done and GM needs to be involved and ensure it gets done. Regardless of how much we paid it was far too dear for the condition of our room. The hotel was booked out the 1st night, 2nd night we thought housekeeping would do a good clean but no… photos and email were sent to assistant manager on Friday night who was going to forward on to the GM. It’s now late Wednesday evening and nothing. In saying that the assistant manager removed a $31 bill from restaurant from our account as compensation, no discount on the room. Terrible standard

Good parking, staff helpful, pool was fine, but hotel was very dated & needed a very good deep clean. No restaurant or bar services, not the nicest neighbourhood. Fine for 1 night.
