We booked a room last minute and we were not sure what to expect. The foyer is set up well as a breakfast area and comfortable and welcoming seating area for other times. They have a little bar that sells drinks and coffees and a small selection of food, we had a nightcap there before bed. We had a standard King Room which was perfectly fine. Free Wifi to cast to the TV, bed big and fairly comfy, room clean. Shower pressure so so but nice and hot. Staff all very friendly and helpful and good secure (not undercover) parking out the back of the property for $20. Bonus was a 2 minute walk to the Manly leagues club for a bistro dinner after a long day. Although it is near a busy road it was very quiet overnight with no road noise. Breakfast was bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, cereal, coffee machine, more than adequate. Would stay again without hesitation if we needed to be in that area again.

Easy self serve check in which was great. We had two rooms, one for us and one for our adult children. Our room had a babies portable cot set up in it that took up a lot of floor space in a small room, tried calling reception to come and get it but the phone in the room wasn’t working. Ended up folding it up and putting in the corner of the room. Our shower had a wet sock dangled over the screen and was wet and slimy under the door. Our children’s room was fine, but this shows a lack of consistency with the way staff clean the property. Would we stay again - for the price and convenience yes we would and hopefully this feedback will help you maintain the property better.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was just alright... nothing to write home about, the room had nice facilities, a microwave oven, plates and cutlery, just the bare minimum. Beds were quite comfortable as well, but the twins were tiny for a man with average build. However the soundproofing in this hotel is terrible. I'll give them the benefit that their clientele are mostly quiet, however this would be unacceptable in any other circumstance. Cleanliness wasn't too bad, rooms were kept in presentable condition. Breakfast was fine quality wise but very few choices. Tables weren't wiped after previous guests sometimes. The guy running the reception in the evenings - Sam, was an excellent guy. Really helpful regarding recommendations and assistance when needed.
Value for money wise I would say that this is alright, you get what you pay for. However if you do want a little more (especially in this suburb of Sydney) prepare to fork out a lot more.

This was the filthiest motel i have ever stayed in. Absolutely unacceptable by the Mecure chain. The cost isn’t worth it what so ever. Check in is self service so there are no staff to assist. Parking is $20 per night to park in an unsecured car park. The rooms were so dirty, the bathroom floors were covered in dirt, there is so much mould in the shower not to mention the shampoo, soap and conditioner were empty. The white towels had yellow stains on them (disgusting) The bedding smelt musty and unwashed, They have obviously tried to cover the stench of the room itself with a whole bottle of room spray which was so strong and off putting we had to keep the windows open and the walls are paper thin you can hear everything from people opening and closing their doors to people in the next room coughing. Not to mention is directly across the road from a car wash which runs late into the night and starts up again in the early morning so you cant even sleep. I would never stay here again nor would i recommend this place to even the most budget travelers.

Place was great, staff were more than helpful. My boy's and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was even closer to Brookvale oval and Manly leagues club than I thought. Breakfast on both mornings was terrific and I'll definitely be back here again. Thank you staff at the Mercure Brookvale.

Good location, service and food. Good size, generally quiet, nice beds. Kitchenette and parking are good too.

Bathrooms need an upgrade and there's mold in the grout. (This was in all three rooms of myself and my extended family.) The website booking confirmation didn't show the breakfast - fortunately they did have it in their records. The Chrome cast set up with the TV worked well, but unfortunately it switched itself back on half an hour after I switched it off, and it woke me up at high volume.

Clean rooms and decent buffet breakfast. Comfortable quiet rooms and bed.
My only negative was the very poor shower pressure and there was barely any hot water. The shower tiles also have mould in the grout It was too late at night to contact reception about it and as I was leaving early the next morning.

I only needed to stay a couple of nights. Centrally located on a bus route, alternately there is plenty of parking available. Very accommodating staff, friendly and helpful. While I enjoyed the late check out and leisurely breakfast, when travelling interstate I would have appreciated being able to stow my luggage before the 2pm check in.
