Do the staff know what they are doing?

Stopped in for a drink after golf on Friday. The place was packed inside as there was a wedding and it was happy hour.

Order fries and one beer. The staff (bar manager and one of the young girls) then started rudely kicking everyone out as they decided that they were setting for dinner at 4pm. Us and half the wedding party were told that we needed to go outside on a cold windy afternoon to finish our drinks.

There were a lot of visibly upset patrons.

Firstly, what time does dinner service start? 4:30pm?

Secondly, why could the staff have not set the far end of the restaurant while everyone finished their drinks and happy hour.

Do they want us there for happy hour or should we go elsewhere? Great way to alienate 50 of your patrons.

The bar manager should be sacked.

We took a last minute weekend trip to Mercure koorindah waters. The resort itself is lovely, the rooms clean and roomy. The staff are what makes this place a great experience. Friendly, accomodating and really make you feel welcome. Special mention to Roisin, Larry and Gloria who all went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Will be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with friendly staff and fabulous amenities. Ainsley and Paul ❤️

The room was quite comfortable, clean and tidy, with a pleasant view. Quite good value for money. We ate at the in house restaurant, which was reasonably priced. The food was ok - not great, but ok. Restaurant service was a bit hit and miss: we had one waitress who was clearly having a bad day, but our other waitress was a real gem, constantly smiling and clearly loving her job. She made our stay a winner. Not sure but I think her name was Vicky. If she serves you, you’ll know! ?

The staff members were exceptionally warm and accommodating, making my stay truly enjoyable. My room was meticulously organized and had all the necessary amenities. The breathtaking view from both my room and the restaurant and bar added to the overall experience. Additionally, the facilities were outstanding and impeccably clean.

My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Kooindah Waters Resort . We opted for the Couples Retreat Package which included three nights accommodation, a full buffet breakfast each day as well as a two course meal at the restaurant each evening . Our packages also included champagne and a delicious fruit & cheese platter upon arrival as as well as a movie voucher . All of the staff during our stay were friendly , incredibly courteous and respectful and simply could not do enough for us .We enjoyed a lovely and comfortable 1 x Bedroom Unit with kitchen and living area overlooking the beautiful golf course and grounds there. The food & all of the resort facilities there were first class and there is so much to see and do in the local area - all within 30 minutes of the resort. We will definitely be back again !

Peaceful and relaxing environment. Enjoyed the walks in the gardens, pool, gym etc.
Restaurant menu could have more variety, yet friendly service.
Rooms are comfortable, but could do with an upgrade at some stage…. However we will be back

We were given a room 20 odd meters from the golf pro shop. We had to endure pa announcements from 6.15am every morning. People chatting and conversing outside our room. Totally unacceptable. Will never go back. We paid full rates no discount to endure this rubbish. So much for a relaxing weekend.

So you think running water is included in the package you are wrong||My wife and I stayed at Kooindah Waters Mercure in May 2024 and had a great time with great staff. We had massages at Wildfire Day Spa and it was all great.|| We decided to go back we booked the hotel for 25th,26th,27th and the Day Spa for the 26th of August 2024||All was good we arrived on Sunday checked in paid all was good Monday 26th we went for our treatment, a magnesium bath and a massage it was great, really great so far everything is great the only problem is I got attitude from some of the staff the night before but all was good.||We got back to our room I went shopping, my wife got into the shower NO WATER HOT OR COLD in the whole room||She rang reception and was told that there was a planned maintenance shut down and the water would be off till 3.00pm||We at no stage was told by anyone that this was going to happen not when we booked not when we got a call on the Saturday a day before we got there, NOT when we checked in and paid full price|| When I got back, I went to reception where two ladies were on the desk one of the ladies was the one that checked us in.||One lady said sorry the other said it was my fault because I did not read the A5 sign that was on the counter which was not on the counter when I went to reception.||I was told that the gym had water but it was across the carpark and 180metres away from our deluxe room with no water||I asked to speak to the manger he was not there||He would be in the next day||The water came back around 4.00 pm COLD water only and the toilet cistern did not fill ||I rang reception at approx. 4.30 still no hotwater and no water to the toilet||We were told the hot water would be another hour, it came back on at approx. 5.15pm||They said they would send a maintenance man with a bucket to our room for the toilet||Just before he arrived the toilet cistern filled with water and he turned up without the bucket||We spoke to the manager the next day he said he would look into it||I did not hear from him until we checked out he said that if we stayed there again he could help us ||But with the attitude of 33.3% of the staff not being good and the service we got we decided to decline the offer||If Kooindah waters can’t provide a room that works and staff that want to be there we don’t want to be there we are going somewhere else but we will be back because for the second time WILDFIRE DAY SPA was awesome
