We found the room was not easily accessible for those who have lots of luggage as there are no lifts to the first floor. The room however was lovely and the brand new pool at the Novotel was amazing! The restaurant was ok but feel that the food was not of the same high standard as our previous visit. The amazing pool, the pool bar and the surrounds made for a perfect refreshing overnight stay!

Well located, Pleasant stay, relaxing pools.
Unsure if there were day visitors as the nice new pool/splash pad/whirlpool area was very busy in the afternoons and at points there were unpleasant behaviours occurring. We moved to the mecure pool during these times, which was much quieter. although one of the afternoons it also appeared that a group of teenage boys not staying in the accomodation visited the mecure pool and started doing bombs into the pool and disturbed us and other guests that were already there enjoying the pool.

Located within easy walking distance to the airport, and complimentary shuttle bus service is provided. Good place to stay when arrival or departure flights are late night/early morning. There are two pools very nice pools to choose from to cool off.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my 5-month-old baby, and it was the most disappointing experience I've had. Upon arrival, the check-in process took over 30 minutes, and no one offered assistance with the language barrier. When I requested a trolley for our luggage, I was simply told that there should be some available at the back—no help offered.

Once we finally got to our room, the door wouldn’t work. After reporting this, I had to repeatedly emphasize my situation with a baby before they sent someone to assist us. Eventually, they managed to open the door, but then we were told we couldn’t exit due to a faulty lock.

To make matters worse, at 10 PM, we were asked to move to another room. This was incredibly inconvenient with a young child, and yet again, no one offered help with our bags. The baby cot the was reserved for us never made it to the new room.
Overall, the lack of customer service and support made our stay extremely frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

I recently had the misfortune of experiencing the breakfast buffet at the Mercure Hotel at Darwin Airport, and let me tell you, it was a culinary disaster. Charging $30 per head, my wife and I expected a delightful start to our day, but instead, we were met with an array of disappointments.

First off, the cleanliness was abysmal. We were greeted by uncleaned plates and coffee mugs that looked like they had survived a food fight. The fancy coffee machine promised gourmet brews but delivered watery concoctions that were 99% milk—definitely not what we were hoping for.

The scrambled eggs and mushrooms tasted like they had been cooked in a pool of water. Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out how they managed to make something so simple taste so bland and unappetizing.

While our stay at the hotel was pleasant, I strongly advise anyone considering the breakfast buffet to steer clear. It’s a shame that such a lovely place would serve food that is so far below par. Save your money and your appetite—look elsewhere for breakfast!

Outstanding service from front desk when our flight out of Darwin was cancelled. The team were friendly, patient and went above and beyond. Thank you to the front desk staff for your help and kindness. Pools were great, had a great meal at Cossies and free shuttle to and from airport saved us a hot walk and was very efficient.
