We had a short trip to Canberra to visit the war memorial and chose the Mercure for its proximity to it. It is also with in walking distance to shops and cafes. Staff were lovely on check in and check out. Room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Amazing hot water and water pressure too! There is a open air car park available at a cost but easy to access, as we had a big vehicle this isn’t always the case. Definitely encourage you try the room service it didn’t disappoint!! Thanks for the lovely stay!

This was a great choice for a quick trip to Canberra. Ideally located close to the City Centre, but with a great open feel and a relaxed and comfortable ambience. Very helpful staff, delicious room service meals on the night we arrived, and a great, relaxing breakfast the next morning. It's a wonderful place to look at, and even better when you get inside! Claudia on the front desk did everything possible to make us feel welcome, and answered every question we had. Outstanding.

I required a handicap room which was large ,spacious and clean. Easy for me to move around and really appreciated the shower chair in the bathroom which great. Room was tidied every day plus bed remade. Would love to stay again, oh and the food was very yummo.

Great place to stay. Would definitely stay there again. Stayed in a room near the main street but couldn't hear the traffic at all. Wish the shower wash was filled up though. It only had enough in it for one shower, stayed for 3 nights. Also had only one roll of toilet paper, had to ask for another. Other than that. Very clean, comfortable bed. Location is perfect

Old building but nice. Room we stayed in was in original building and it was ok. Very tired, tiny bathroom and COLD. We could not heat the room up when we got there even though the heater was working! Froze the first night but second night was ok as we left the heater on all day to keep room warm. Pillow unbelievably uncomfortable. The buffet breakfast was really good and staff were lovely. Easy walk to Canberra central.

Booked by phone as needed accessible room. Customer service operator very helpful. Booked bed and breakfast with secure parking. |Check in easy and room with king bed and accessible bathroom good. |Had food at bistro/bar which was delicious.|Breakfast was a disappointment. Fresh fruit a disappointment. Scrambled eggs were cold, the bacon scrappy. Had to ask for a tea pot of tea. Lid didn’t fit and had to hold it on.|Would return but unless breakfast improves would not book b&b.

The hotel is quite good. The parking was in increased to A$28 if not pre-booked but trip.com says only A$15 and no need to book. The hotel ended up waiving the first night parking when we asked and we parked on the street the next day. The hotel room is very big and the beds are quite firm and comfortable. The bathroom is a good size but would appreciate rubbish bags into the bins because it feels like I can't even put in banana peel because I don't want it to go to mush inside the bin and someone has to dig it out and wash the bin. There is an iron and ironing board in the room with safe, extra blanket and pillows. The only complaint for the room is probably the noisy air conditioning. Food at the bistro inside the hotel was pretty good for dinner and the buffet breakfast had a good variety but it is the same everyday.

Stayed here on a quick overnight stay while in area for work. The staff are more than pleasant, the rooms are a nice size and are clean and comfortable. The restaurant has a great variety of food available, and as the weather was nice, it was great to sit outside and smell the aromas coming from the wood fired smoker. I have stayed here in the past, and I will do so again.
