Reception staff leaving you mid conversation to cook a toasted sw. Reception staff friendly but clearly overworked. Making coffee, taking food orders, checking people in and out all by the one receptionist. The dinner food options were affordable in the restaurant but were very limited and no gf option except reheated gf pasta . Very long wait once ordered and no salad as advertised. Disappointing bland overcooked meal. The room was neat and tidy. Uncomfortable single beds in twin room. Bathroom small but neat and clean. Window view in room was of an overloaded huge dirty linen skip and rubbish piles. Staff very friendly and helpful. Check in easy. No undercover or secure car parking but plenty of car parks.

Reception was 24 hours, In room dining available, had a small breakfast buffet for $26 pp. All in all good for transient guests. Location was perfect for us as we had to attend a show at Hillsong which was pretty close to Mercure Garden city. They don't have a pool or gym. Ample parking space outside at no extra cost. We had booked a twin as it was a last minute booking and we requested to get the beds joined which was done. Thanks for that. Rooms and bathrooms are quite small in size hence suitable for transient guests. Staff reception was nice and friendly 😄

Absolutely garbage. Has to fly over for a medical procedure for my youngest, upon checking in I was given a down grade of what I had already paid for 2 months in advance. I asked to be moved to a better room the second day I was there. Was just 2 single ensumbles pushed together. They were even the same height so bed was uncomfortable asf. House keeping was slack. Only tided my room once the week I stayed. Fresh towels weren’t left I had to request them (that was a BIG inconvenience for the clerk on at the time) |Same treatment when ordering room service too. All staff seriously lack manners and professionalism, except the Gardner, he was absolutely lovely! |Breakfast was the same everyday, scrambled eggs are the only eggs. ||Also; mother in law booked a room while I was there too. She was severely over charged, her bed was dirty, shower bathroom filthy. | |Both bathrooms in the 2 rooms I had were gross. The vents are chocked with dust and dirt. ||First room had some lovely lubed hand prints all over the head board still too 👎 proper Lubly ||OH ALSO, gotta love refillable soap dispensers hey. Dunno how this is allowed? People do gross stuff

Good value for money. Staff was super friendly, the French lady at reception on New Years Day was great. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is at a good location. Bathroom could use an upgrade but it was clean and functional. Parking can be an issue, there are not enough car parks and when the carpark is full there is nowhere else to park nearby (no street parking) which is a big problem.

The rooms are modern and clean. I think they were under staffed though, the lady manager always seemed to be doing everything and while she did her best, it was clear the staff were stressed. I felt for them. In terms of food, the breakfast buffet was actually pretty good unfortunately that was the best of it. the 24 hour menu for in room dining was incredibly boring with the most exciting meqls being spaghetti’s bolognese and a burger. For a restaurant attached to a hotel such as the Mercure it was very below average. I’ve stayed in quite a few and their menus were a lot better. They are right next to a Westfield but accessing it by car or walking was a marathon. I ended up getting uber eats 3 out of the 4 night so stayed.

Well located near Garden City Westfield but the rooms are in desperate need of an update. The toilet in my room was running all night and the shower gel pump was not working in the shower. Good that cutlery, crockery, fridge, kettle, iron and ironing board are provided.

If you want a nice little tidy room for the night that is clean and good value for money, then this is the place!

What I loved most was that Westfield is right next door so I was able to get some food from Coles late in the evening instead of wasting money on takeaway.

Check in is all self automated and quite a simple process. And it's the same at check out. We had the buffet breakfast which was a decent feed and worth the $26 in my humble opinion.

Would definitely stay again.

The rooms are a bit meh. Bathrooms are old and probably need updating. The vents in the bathroom definitely need a clean - health hazard amount of stuff in it. Queen beds sink towards the middle. But on our last day, the door got stuck. Thankfully I had my husband and he was able to pull on the door thing at the top as that's where it was sticking - mentioned to the front desk, as I'm in plaster from surgery.

Location great. Three staff were lovely whilst there, but the others really need to rethink the work they do. Oh, and what's the point of self check-in when a sour faced staff member tuts her way through showing you how to use it, when she could just have a computer to do it for you? Surely, as this place had a tour bus the first night, would work more efficiently with someone checking in guests?
